so what's the scale here? 1/12? I got an old Horizon 1/9 scale vinyl kit and it measures 8.5-9inches (granted leg is NOT and can NOT extend) so wondering how the Neca can be 10inches tall if it's 1/12 scale, especially when the Horizon ED209 definitely looks bigger than the Neca Robocop side-by-side.

The scale on the Horizon's ED was 1/8 or 1/6, and was definitely around 12" or taller.

The small one in 1/12 was a model kit by Argonauts, much better detailed than the Horizon one.

I used to have both of them!

I still have the Horizon model assembled but unpainted. I never had the skill to do it justice, so I left it in it's original state of white vinyl. I have Robocop too...even unpainted it was an awesome Peter Weller likeness.

For years, I wished I had someone that could give my ED a real professional paint job, cause I always thought he was gonna be the closest thing to an in-scale counterpart to my McF Robo. Slightly oversized for the McF, but too small to scale with the Horizon Robo. I'd love to see the Horizon ED side by side with the NECA...I bet it's close but the model kit seems like it's gonna be bigger.

But soon I'll have NECA ED and spring-loaded Robo squaring off on a shelf. Dreams come true!!

(OK NECA....make that proper third act Murphy revealed RoboCop with a Cobra cannon and then ALLL my wishes will have come true!)

looks cool!

so odd that they have the screams and background noises in the sound clips like the gun firing one, would have thought the gun noise alone would be better but then again this is neca, no sense included ever.

The audio is taken DIRECTLY from the film. They didn't have the ability to get access to the original isolated sound effect they used 25 years ago.

It doesn't seem to have the in between bit where ED is saying ''You are in direct violation of code something something something...I am now authorised to use (physical?) force''

I guess there was too much other sound going on at the same time, panicking technicians etc

yeah no surprise it was taken direct from the film, sounds like it, lol!:slap

would rather have a fx that sounded like the gun in movie at least if not exact instead of a movie clip, but thats just me and now im off to have cheese with my whine ;)

great fig tho! does look superb.

I honestly don't care too much about the sound effects. Its nice but I'll probably end up only playing them the first time I get it and then just keeping him on my shelf with my battle damaged Robocop.

Sound fx are cooler than light up features but in the end it doesn't matter, I will have fun like 5min and then will remove the batteries to avoid leakage ( I'm talking about figures, no dildo lol)

Sound effects are more than appropriate for a piece like this one - in fact it's a poster child for what figures work with them. It has the right build design to house the components etc for starters, & the button is disguised nicely.

The HT ED - similarly, would be well equipped to house & disguise those features as well. The difference (I assume) being, that the chip quality would be markedly better. :lol

On the hand - putting it in the RoboCop figure? I don't dig it at all.

Why didn't they put it in the display stand? Woulda been perfectly fine

If the sound effects include background movie noise I would have rather just had a cheaper version with no sound.
