Neca has universal monsters!!!

My wife got me the Ardath Bey for Valentine’s Day. Nice figure and actually my first NECA Universal Monsters figure.

I want to at least get the Mummy and sarcophagus set. Wouldn’t mind getting a few more of the Monsters eventually too.

It's great seeing them continue with these, I still need to pick up Nosferatu, Ardath Bey, and Kemp House Invisible Man to have a complete set of the color Monsters.

I had $20 in credit from Whatnot. Browsed around to see what I could find and got Frankenstein’s Monster. Came to like $9 after the credit I had so a pretty good score.

I’ll probably end up trying to find the rest of the figures eventually. As if I need something else to collect.

That's an excellent deal!
I've been checking Best Buy stores lately, Neca figures can be on sale there often. Sale prices can be even better in store, you just got to look around. For instance, I picked up the Silence of the Lambs Hannibal Lecter prison escape there recently for $15.
On Best Buy's website you can find the Color version of the Monster with stockade chair on sale for $47, I picked up mine last week, love the chair and figure, the monster is mostly a new sculpt. You can also get the same figure without chair for a little less ($35) in Black and White soon though.

One thing to watch out for, Neca figures can have stiff joints so it can help to heat up the figure with a little warm water before posing the first time.

Have those throwback glow-in-the-dark figures been released yet? I can still remember my parent's buying me the originals at the shopping mall in the 80s

Neca seems to be following Sideshow's Universal releases closely.
The Sideshow versions Neca has yet to do are:
Lon Chaney Sr. from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Henry Hull from a Werewolf of London
Renfield from Dracula
Fritz from Frankenstein
Karlof as the Monster from Son Of Frankenstein
Bela Lugosi as Ygor from Son of Frankenstein
Bela Lugosi as the Monster from Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman
Glen Strange as the Monster from House of Frankenstein
Lon Chaney Jr. as the Monster from Ghost of Frankenstein
Bela Lugosi as Bela the Gypsy from The Wolfman
Bela Lugosi from White Zombie
The Creature from the Creature Walks Among Us
The Mole People.

I doubt they'll make all of those, I hope from that list we at the least get Werewolf of London, Son of Frankenstein, White Zombie, and the Mole People.
It would be great if Neca can do some characters that Sideshow never made like Dr. Pretorius, Abbot and Costello, and dare I dream, Colin Clive as Dr. Frankenstein!

BTW.... 1931 Frankenstein enters public domain just 2 years from now. Surly then Neca, Star Ace, Kaustic Plastic, and Sideshow could make Colin Clive from Frankenstein then?

All but the Bride have been released, some over a year ago. You can find them at Target sometimes. The Neca Store still has The Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster, and Nosferatu as Glow in the Dark figures available:

The Invisible Man was a Convention exclusive last year, probably expensive at this point.

So, I see Metaluna Mutant is not under the Universal monsters header/banner still. I guess whatever legal boogedy boo that occured has stuck.

Of note: Universal must have changed their licensing blocks and packages. The last three new offerings Kemp house Invisible Man, Ardath Bey, and now Masqued Phantom are from films they have already touched on. Is it possible second tier characters are offered as a separate film bundled/specific licensing tier, or off limits altogether? Like Kharis, Dracula's Son or Daughter, or Werewolf of London?
