Ohhh...I saw Killjoy's post earlier but didn't understand the significance - so that's to be a 1/10 scale all-sculpted figure? Great, but won't they run into the same issue with the Roy Scheider estate as they did with the clothed figure line?

Without a guarantee of getting all 3 guys I'm not sure there's any point.....

They don't seem to care about completeness, they did Quint only with Bruce in the Toony Terrors, no Hooper or Brody (assume that could work around Scheider's likeness.

At this point, I just size up what they offer and decide what it means to me. I skipped the Toony Terrors set because it just doesn't represent the film for me.

That would be amazing, but I'd rather see NECA Bruce finally before the same humans in a different format. Hoping for big things for the 50th though.

Yeah it's kinda annoying to just skip past these. I don't really want to rebuy them again, especially if there's no Brody, I'll just stick with what I've got. I have to imagine there isn't a Brody or they probably would've led with that release?

Here's the full product description with accessories.

Celebrate 50 years of Jaws with NECA! Considered one of the greatest achievements in film, the classic 1975 Steven Spielberg thriller paved the way for what would become the summer blockbuster. The iconic character Matt Hooper, portrayed by Richard Dreyfuss, is now available as an ultimate action figure. Standing in 7-inch scale, the young oceanographer is equipped with multiple interchangeable heads, hands, and gloved hands. Plus, fishing hook, scuba tank, cup, crushed cup, shark dart, and duffel bag. He also features interchangeable arms for an alternative look in his denim jacket or sweater. Comes in collector-friendly window box packaging with opening front flap.

So he sounds loaded, will be harder to skip but I'm holding tight lol

Actually, the Toony Terrors wouldn’t necessarily be a workaround. When they released the Grady Twins from the Shining, people asked if a Jack Torrence was coming soon. NECA said no, because Nicholson wasn’t interested and that even a toony likeness is still a likeness. So that could still hold up Brody in a Toony Terrors form too, unfortunately.

The fact they had the estate onboard at one point makes me think it’s just a money things. It was Hooper we originally thought we weren’t going to get and then got the reversal. I’m hoping that diving into Ultimates now means they’ve cleared things up. The retro line isn’t much bigger than the ultimate scale but that might be more significant on a giant shark than a 7-8” human character. Maybe that difference was enough for them to be able to justify a Bruce at this scale but not at the slightly larger retro one? I’m still thinking a site exclusive like some of their recent TMNT dioramas have been. Still probably too big for retail outside of something like a breaching bust of the head.
