I bet NECA has the rights to 78 MM. They're lying as usually, but they have to make sure this 2018 MM sells, and they want people to focus on the new version, so I expect an announcement for an ultimate 78 early next year, or after they sell enough of the new figures.

Either way, the 2018 version IS the 78, just older since it's a direct continuation of that film and the same guy playing him, so I'm happy to get it. He'll look great next to Freddy and Jason. People should stop whining and be happy with this figure, after so many years of people asking for a damn MM figure.

Yes unfortunately now there is even a bigger threat of scalpers since Target opens early daily, but hey at least for the most part we can pick and choose to help the QC issues in their product.

Target seems like a bit of an odd choice for the amount of horror characters NECA does. I wouldn’t really think a big corporate store like Target would want that kind of thing on their shelves. I welcome it though as I have no local comic shop and have to get my NECA stuff from BBTS normally.

I remember seeing the skinned alive Hopper set at TRU where a family was looking at it , so I think Neca has no issue what parents might say

My local TRUs hardly carried the 18" figures, that was hit or miss.

As for content, it's hard to say what parents will or won't gripe about, I remember Breaking Bad figures getting pulled from TRU because he makes drugs, yet as you say, a skinned body for Predator is ok. It's all about the squeaky wheel.

Interesting that he includes the tombstone. Wonder if he digs it up again in the new movie or if it’s just included as an accessory. I like the sculpt that’s shown in most of the pictures, the alternate one where you can see more of his eyes I probably won’t use.

There will be one more mask. There's a mask that's going to be in the film that hasn't been shown and won't be shown til October 18th.
