I seem to remember seeing a 18 inch version of a predator done by one of these two companies....does anyone know which one it was or if it was 18 inches tall??...its been irking me that i can't remember for the life of me

These companies DID NOT make an 18" Predator. If they did, it would be in posession. I own all 4 McFarlane 12" Predators. They're not bad for $40 toys.

McFarlane made 2 - 12" Predators (based on 1987 film) one Stealth and one regular.

McFarlane also made 2 - 12" Predators (based on AVP), one Stealth and one Regular.

NECA has not made a 12" predator,

Mc Farlanes 12" Scar looks pretty good with his mask on.

I have that one I think its pretty good, its next to my HT figs and it actually looks in scale because although its only 12" its standing in a fairly low pose, if the legs were straight it would probably be about 15" so it looks ok to me with them...

Mcfarlane has a 3rd version of the original Predator you forgot to mention. IT was a phasing one that was half stealth and half painted. I think it was an exclusive for some store. Forgot which store it was.

Musicland was Sam Goody, Suncoast, Tower Records, and another store I forgot.

I still have that.

Anyway, McF for me. They created one of the best figures of all time...one I named my internet handle from, which I have had since 2004. :D

HT version is pretty much the top notch for me....but i was looking for an imaginary 18 inch predator for a project of mine....does anyone here know how to cast heads and then enlarge them???

I think you've got major nostalgia goggles on for that figure. Perhaps you would say the same of my fondness for the McFarlane MM4 T-800 (using a NECA headsculpt).

I have the 12'' pred from Mcfarlane and allthough its really sweet, NECA's blows it out of the water!
they're both sculpted by the same guy, by the way. kyle worked at mcfarlane before getting his gig at neca.

depends on your relative definitions of "worth" and "much". they go for more than they cost at retail, but you're not gonna retire off it. and i wouldn't pay a dime for them because they're dated and totally obsolete now. check some ebay ended auctions and proceed from there.
