NECA Princess Bride - how did I miss this?

NECA has terrible communication. That is how you missed it. Half of the time I don't know NECA is making something until I see it in the stores - and I follow them quite closely. Problem is they don't update often or have a message board like this to talk about their stuff.

I remember hearing about these, but never any indication of when they'd be released. Sadly, not really interested in this scale.

I wish Sideshow was the license juggernaut that NECA is.

I dont collect NECA anymore, and have gotten rid of almost all my NECA stuff, but one thing that can be said is they have the best licenses of ANY toy company.

I dearly wish they were 1/6 but I love this movie - I might just have to go back to the plastic figures...

NECA To Get Princess Bride

0009568.jpg

The Ghostbusters ebay thread made me go back and look at this webpage. Scroll to the bottom for an idea of how cool a line of 1/6th Princess Bride figures could be.

https://www.andgor.com/toyfaregallery.html

That Iñigo Montoya is aboslutely great! I wish I could have it! When will we see pictures of painted prototypes of NECA's Princess Bride? Does anyone know how many figures will the line start with? Will it be a line of its own, or will they be making figures of the movie and release them under the Cult Classics Hall of Fame line just like Labyrinth (that'd be okay with me as long as they don't stop at one figure)?

yah these are going to be cool. the original reason i like pirates...princess bride is prolly my most wanted 1/6th scale line. the movie and book just flippin' rock.

Yeah, they get some really obscure flicks--I just wish 1/6 figures gave toy companies better profit margins--we might have seen these by now.

If the small line does well, that means that there is a chance for an 18 inch figure !!!

That would be the closest thing to a PF that would probably ever come out of that amazing movie . . .

I'm in !!!!

:chew:chew:chew

1/6 figures must just be too much money for the casual buyer. Too bad, because I'd definitely get some of these in 1/6. Same with Goonies, Warriors, Sin City, etc. I mean so many great licenses...

I would love these in 1/6th. If they did Monty Python they could easily do these. :drool

A few months ago I'd have said it won't happen, but with the new oddball 1/6 licenses we've rencently seen from Sideshow I'd say its possible. Especially if the NECA ones find a market.

I really hope these figures come to fruition. I would kill for them. :maul :lol

I have to agree NECA seems to get the License for just about everything. Sideshow could do well with a 1/3 of the licenses that NECA has.
