We already knew about "Zombo" but it appears NECA is doing others, hopefully (for my money) at least Grandpa as well.

Zombo is the only one I had any interest in, and that's because he looks pretty much like he did back in the day. The redesign of the other characters I just can't get into, personally.

I think any company that invested in this movie to produce merchandise has to feel jilted after seeing the trailer and of course watching this thing get relegated from theaters to streaming. Its an epic sh*t show for everyone involved. The only question is WHY any studio thought Rob Zombie had any writing skills to make a Munsters movie. He's a great set designer and understands the art of the visual, but is devoid of any notable skills when it comes to writing. Just because you do one well, doesn't mean you should be doing it all. Maybe now the industry will get that lesson.

My understanding is that it was never actually slated for a theatrical release but always intended for Netflix. Reports stating otherwise were simply incorrect.

Hoping to see images of the Dan Roebuck, Sam "Grandpa" Munster figure soon.

Roebuck has confirmed a Lily is also forthcoming. We enjoyed the movie quite a bit. My condolences for anyone who didn’t. ✊🏻😁

The movie got A LOT of hate, but I enjoyed it. I took this in the spirit in which it was intended. I'll grab these.

And coming from NECA (for the rest of us who didn't grab the SDCC exclusive) ...

Zombo! From Rob Zombie’s The Munsters, Zombo is coming at you live as an 8” clothed action figure from NECA. Tune in to The House of Zombo, sponsored by Crumble Creature Crackers, and play along with this Zombo figure, which features tailored fabric clothing, removable hat, and cereal box. And remember, kids – for a limited time, get your very own Black Plague Spreader Kit in specially marked boxes of Crumble Creature Crackers cereal! Window box packaging.

Couldn’t even get halfway through this movie what a trainwreck

Just picked up the NECA Zombo figure, the most handsome man in Hollywood California. 🤣💀 I feel for those who may have spent $100+ on the SDCC figure being sold online, this only cost me $35.

It’s a great figure and could work as an original Munsters (Louie Nye) or Rob Zombie Munsters (Jeff Daniel Phillips) in a Munsters collection, but it’s definitely Phillips’ version. The robes and cape are a shimmery, black material that helps with posing and look great. The witch’s hat sits a little high on the head but it’s not Asmus Gandalf bad. And really it’s a shame to hide the hair as it’s a translucent plastic that works very well.

The Zombo cereal box is not an actual box but a solid plastic with fantastic detail on all sides. Mine will have the cereal box on display as this is supposed to be a horror host selling his merch to kids and is hilarious. I’m getting all the Munsters and was thrilled this guy got a general release.

The old Munsters was an homage to the classic Universal Monsters and silly sitcoms of the day. My favorite episode ends with Fred Gwynne getting hit in the head by a bolt of lightning in his front yard, that simultaneously changes his clothing and gives him an on the spot sex change. Goofy but it’s all in the performance. Rob Zombie’s Munsters is a reflection of watching old Munsters re-runs in the following decades and the “monster kid” culture that resulted, along with the classic, Don Post rubber masks and harsh neon lighting of community haunted houses. It’s equally as silly as the original, but again it’s all in the performance.

This is a TV kid’s recollection of watching the Munsters and that makes Zombo a must have as it’s a TV character in a TV movie, and several plot points from the movie happen while watching TV. Looking forward to the rest of the family.

Finally got my hands on the NECA Munsters Little Big Heads Pack. The packaging and overall design is based off figures released back from the original show.

IMG-0803.jpg

These aren't bobble heads but look that way, the heads are actually ball joints (I believe) that allow for some movement. The Count is my clear favorite as it most resembles Dan Roebuck and the head tilt allows for some fun posing.

IMG-0814.jpg

Herman looks more like promotional images of Jeff Daniel Phillips with the intense eyes and down turned mouth. Much like the Fang figure from the old Mad Monster Party line, this Frankenstein has a hard time standing on its own and wants to fall forward.

Lily is fine and not as later-day Michael Jackson as it appeared in photos. Trouble is Roebuck and Phillips wore prosthetics pieces that help in the caricature, but Sheri Moon just had her face. It works well with the other two. Not a huge fan of the hair but it's a nod to the originals I'm assuming.

I'm glad I have these and they work great with my current Munsters items (old and new). Others' mileage may vary.

The NEC Ultimate 7" Rob Zombie Herman Munster finally made it to a local Target. Great figure. Had to glue a boot lift that popped off out of the box, but otherwise very fun. The color is a bit hospital scrubs green, and perhaps not as screen accurate as it could be, but on the shelf it really pops. And to be honest the figure is most fun with other horror figures. Hoping to get The Count and Lily soon, whenever they release.

Easily the best of the two released, The Count captures Dan Roebuck's look wonderfully and has some very nice accessories, tough to decide if I like the shovel or skull head cane more.

I couldn't sit through that train wreck, and I went in with the lowest of expectations, and a deep love of The Munsters. The figures look great though!

Sorry you couldn't enjoy it. My family loved it. Perfect goofy fun and these figures are a lot of fun to pose, especially with other NECA monsters figures! (y)

In scenes, Dan Roebuck was dead on in his voice inflection to the late Al Lewis. He was easily the star of the show. NECA's figures are great, and kudos to all enjoying them. One can only hope they give us an Ultimate Werewolf of London, Henry Hull 1935.
