Can anyone who owns the ones that came out a couple years ago in the red/clear packaging tell me what the differences are between this new series and the old besides the packaging and the addition of one different style/version of Rocky? I missed out on the older ones and my son is bugging me to get him some,but the prices are very expensive on the previous series and any help would be greatly appreciated.I cannot decide which ones to pursue,but my son likes the older Neca style packaging but some are priced more than the whole new series line of all 4.Are they rarer or something? Thank you for any help,both series look great imo

Can someone explain why this Clubber Lang came with a championship belt?
Extra incentive to buy it, and Clubber was champ when the final fight started.

I just caught that video on youtube, I wonder is it's a factory mistake or Neca is releasing a few Clubber's with the black trunks with the championship belt? If this is a rare mistake that collector difinitely has a rare figure that someone will be willing to pay big $$$ for, I remember the crazy prices the Jakks Rocky championship belt that was never released was going for on Ebay.

Or someone just took the Rocky belt and placed it on Clubber and closed him back in his box.

I saw another guy on Neca's twitter page with another championship belt Clubber Lang...so there's more than one.
I kinda wish I got into the line when it started, it's just I was never much a fan of NECA but I know they've greatly improved over the years.

It just started...again.
They went on hiatus? I remember seeing the Rocky I & II figures in stores but that was awhile ago.

They never made Rocky 2 figures, just Rocky 1,3, and 4 and then the line ended. However, this year they started a new 40th anniversary line, which includes some new figures and the previously released figures from the original line.
The current series 1 of the 40th anniversary line includes the two Clubber Lang and yellow trunks Rocky from the original line, and a new Rocky with the championship belt from the Rocky 3 movie poster.
Series 2 will be a brand new Apollo Creed from Rocky 4 with removable USA outfit, two Ivan Drago figures, and Rocky in his USA trunks from the previous line. The Rocky figure will come with a USA flag and a battle damaged head sculpt, which the original release didn't include.
Series 1 (Rocky 3) just came out and it's currently available in stores, online, and on the Neca ebay store, and series 2 (Rocky 4) will be out on the Fall...I think.
