Jesus. What to do with all that. What an aptly grotesque figure.

So far with the The Thing I've been buying one MIB and one to open. This might warrant more than one 'opener' purchase.

I thought they’d given up on the license. NECA used to be one of my favorite companies until they went full blown TMNT and that’s it.

Man is still the warmest place to hide.

Image 1 original promo book from 82 now behind UV 92% glass. Images 2&3 my amusement the idea being the figure has walked out of the poster. Image 4 my favourite scenes The Blood Test. ' Now I'll show you what I already know'
I never really liked the film poster image, preferring image 1 however it has grown on me over the years. Managed to find 2 mint credit sheets which is a miniature of the poster with detail on reverse of cast and crew dated as at May 1982. Original ephemera is hard to find in any condition out there.

I prefer the teaser legs to the ones in front. Neca Indicated it had plans for more from The Thing. On the 50th anniversary they can do it all again

I just have a handful of 7” figures on display in my collecting room. The old SOTA “THE THING” boxset is one of them and I display the “bad boy” proudly. Love it. I welcome NECA’s new figure to my collection. A must have in my books.

I have that set as well, though I keep mine it the box since it feels like such a great display piece. Never getting rid of it.

I should have picked up two back then when they were under $40 each (Golden Years of collecting). Unlike today where a single Ultimate figure is $59.99 - $69.99 + 12% sales tax her in Vancouver Canada. It's the reason I have only purchase two NECA figures this year.

That is so rough, I am sorry costs have gotten that crazy for you.

Yep. Besides, if NECA and its retailers have any surprises for us, I don't think we're in much shape to do anything about it.

Image of 1982 Mini Poster credit sheet handed out in US Cinema for upcoming release of picture, small version of the Poster with much more detail endorsed As of 10th May 1982, should look The Thing framed.
