Pretty cool release. I like that he has the different tie options as well as a few head sculpts.

This was the first instant buy release announcement for me for the sculpt alone, then you add all those accessory options and WOW! I've reached out to a local small business I use for these kinds of releases and he said some items NECA has been selling strictly on their site and then they may open it up to retailers (e.g. Hammer Dracula and Frankenstein in the Chair.) Any news if this is NECA site only?

EDIT: From the FB posting; "Look for pre-orders from your favorite NECA retailers this week!"

I'll let the guy know. (y)

That is a good question. As far as I know the factories exclusively make toys so it’s not like they’re having to get sidetracked to make something more important like heart monitors or defibrillators. Might just be the luck of the draw of how many revisions a product needs before it’s ready to go? Or if other companies pay more to skip to the front of the line? Bigger companies like Hasbro could bump NECA since quantity makes the factory more than the surely smaller runs NECA makes? But when everyone struggles with the same issue of tardiness it’s hard to explain it away with that logic.

If this is true, I hate Hasbro, lol. Just kidding. I am getting impatient for Vinney though.

So, in hand shots have began trickling. Is it me, or did they give him brown eyes, and mismatch the paint work on the old age head (IE hair and facial hair/eyebrows dont match)? Vinney had blue eyes.

Hopefully those are just typical first in-hand awful pics that cause panic before the better ones come out. But yeah, the old head does seem to have mismatched facial hair to head hair, unlike the prototype.

I should have mine by Friday (or so I am told). Indy place. We shall see. If they did his eyes in brown, its the most glaring error since Star Ace did it on their Bela Lugosi White Zombie figure. They messed his eyes up to. Supposed to be blue, made them brown.

As I recall, way back when colorizing movies was all the rage, they gave Frank Sinatra brown eyes in one of his classics.

Yeah, "Ol' Blue Eyes" now has brown eyes. Sheesh!
