I gotta tell ya; the one thing I hate about collecting is finding the stuff, or getting it without it being banged up. The box for this one was obliterated by the USPS.

One big hang up with the NECA things is those cheap, flimsy, paper hanger tags. Those are almost always bent to death. In the past I didn't care, because the bubbles were discarded, and these were "impulse buys" at $12-$25. These Ultimates are branded as "collectibles" and are darn near $40. If I am gonna shell out $40, it needs to be perfect.

I really wish Kaustic Plastik would release something similar to this in 1/6 as a figure. Given that the statue was limited to 250 numbered editions, and another 50 with the noose though, I don't know if that's enough to warrant doing it.

Statue collectors and figure collectors are different. By your logic, NECA wouldn’t have seen a market for this figure. I didn’t buy the statue but would be all over a figure. I bet he’s do as well any any of their other horror figures. Price is just as iconic as the Universal Monsters, he was even the Invisible Man at one point.

I buy both. Got a whole mess of all of it laying around me,lol. What I am saying is: if people are hesitant to pay out larger sums for Ole Vinney (not me) would a doll baby sell better than a statue? Could they make enough to be profitable? They'd get my money. Neca's Vinney is $35. KP's stuff is 10-15 times that if you get all the bells and whistles.

great pictures
he really did turn out great
This is a figure, along with their new Horror of Dracula, that I absolutely would've loved seeing in the back of an old issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland as a kid. I would've needled my parents relentlessly for them. The general consensus is they hit it out of the park with these two latest figures.

Anyone seen these in the wild yet? As far as I know, he's in stock at Target for online ordering, and on shelves at select Meijer's.
Not yet but I ordered 3 from Target using their toy promos this week knocking them down to $25 each. With three heads and three tie options, having a figure for each age was too temping to pass up. Looks like they won’t be here until just before Thanksgiving.

OK, Imma help my fellow freaks out here. I went to Meijer's for some Vanilla Coca Cola, because my Wal Mart was out. I decided to take a run thru the store. Sure enough, they had NECA Vincent Price back in the electronics section of the store. Got a nice minty box. If you have Meijer's in your area (or outside of the USA?): give them a look. Here's the barcode in case they haven't unloaded them. Meijer's is definitely the "first to store" on this one.

I finally picked up my LCS ordered Price figure today. Looks great, but I don’t have time just yet to open and properly pose it. I’ve seen online that the shirt collar swap out feature isn’t that easy to use. I guess we’ll see.

The secret is the little notch at the beck of the neck just under the suit collar. Align the groove on the swap out piece with that notch, and push the collar down to make it snug. it isn't perfect, but it works. Unless you're going to have him fight Wolverine or Batman figures, lol.

For (one of) the Vinneys I bought, I used a spare NECA Lee Dracula body, trimmed and glued the open coat flaps down, drybrushed a little of Ole Man Vinney's hair with some lighter gray to bring out details, and plopped his butt in the NECA Pale Man chair from pan's Labyrinth.

My picture taking skills stink, but you'll get the idea.
