Need advice on a Luke Skywalker 1/6 fig

alright you have talked me into it. Plus I saw that repaint that Small_studios did of the sideshow sculpt and it looks amazing. Hopefully the production Vader turns out as good as the prototype. it's mark with a huge honking nose. with a repaint ( see Venakin's) He can actualy look REALLLLLY good.
And as such, it's a fine example that no figure is perfect

way i see it you got three choices depending on your favourite film, old ben and vader (old ben's a killer sculpt and will look great posed fighting vader), bespin luke, not a great sculpt but if you're up to a bit of painting, it can look great, also if you have a knack for model making, a custom carbon freezing chamber base will make these two look great, then obviously you've got jedi luke, a great sculpt out the box, body needs tweaking a bit, but you may not notice so badly if you have him posed in action fighting vader. so i guess it'll be entirely up to which film/pose you prefer......or you could get them all lol

Just added the Hasbro Droids to Luke and Ben too!!
They look pretty good til SSC does em.
Vader will be with Stormy, Sandy and the eventual Tarkin!

Seriously, Old Ben is a better figure than any of the Lukes.

Probably the best SS Star Wars figure, at this point, period. He's DAMN good right out of the box. Sure, he looks really amazing with a quality repaint but SS did a pretty nice job, all things considered.

To me Old Ben and Vader are just as iconic, if not more so, then Luke and Vader.

I agree on this.. the only reason they iconic is because of the prequels. It gave us a better understanding of Ben and Anakins relationship and how dramatic it was at the end.
