Ok, this will sound odd, but whatever. I have had Spider veins since my 20s and Doc says they are not an issue medically Just fugly looking. They are right next to my knees, so when I drop the drawers to take a dump or whatnot, they are 'THERE' for me to see.

Now, the issue is this: I used to love reading a good mag during my 'SESSIONS' as only one leg was affected, so that was the leg where the shorts or pants would stay on, and cover the veins. Now, the second leg has gotten this, so if I drop em, I gotta look at these ugly spider veins. Naturally, as my OCD would take me, I have resorted to taking my 'SESSIONS' in the dark, which strikes me as an odd solution.

I could use a towel to cover the other leg up, so I could enjoy my magazines. My OCD really prevents me from 'just getting over myself' and reading a mag with them staring me down, as it were. Would people even care about this stuff?

Thoughts!?!

Thanks
Matt

I don't think anyone would care - turn the lights back on! We all have things we don't like about our bodies...but you just gotta learn to let somethings go...especially those that we have no control over.

drink more..............care less............:duff

yea, thats all i got........:peace

Just did a google search, it seems it's not saline.

Sclerotherapy for Spider Veins

A common form of treatment for spider veins is sclerotherapy. This is an in-office procedure where veins are injected with a solution, using small needles, which causes them to collapse and fade from view. The procedure typically improves not only the cosmetic appearance but associated symptoms as well. A few sessions may be required to obtain maximum benefit. During sclerotherapy, the affected leg is elevated to drain blood, and the sclerosant is injected into the spider vein. The procedure normally takes 5 to 30 minutes, depending on how many spider veins are treated. This form of spider vein treatment may be painful, and the chemical (sclerosant) that is injected can cause a feeling of burning or cramping for a few minutes in the area where the shot was given. You may need repeated sessions and many injections per session depending on the extent of the spider veins and type of sclerosant used.

Sit up straight and stop putting your elbows on your knees when you read. :wink1:

Or just pull your pants down enough so your ass can drop it's load...:dunno

You dont need to drop them all the way....

l saw an episode on Dr. OZ. This woman had spider veins, their is a new injection you can get that makes them disappear in minutes. They did it on the show, right after they did the injection you could actually see them disappear. They are not supposed to come back after that is done, so go see your doctor.

Men are turning into women.:lecture

Seriously dude..who gives a ____?:dunno

Yeah, that does sound logical except I am pretty tall.....need that leg room for squatting....ok, this is taking on a whole new level of tmi

I do like the idea of a blue light, LOL.....

Wow...I just loked this up and it seems that there are some very easy ways to get rid of spider veins.

These veins are malfunctioning so getting rid of them does not harm you. In fact, when they are destroyed, they are replaced by new and correctly functioning veins.

And there is now a laser treatment that is quick and painless.

I am betting that it is expensive, though.

There is no health risk associated with them, though.

Edit - 2-6 sessions at 200-400 dollars per session.

However, even though the destroyed veins do not come back...if you are susceptible, you WILL get new ones.

Buy a couple of knee sleeves, like wrestlers wear.

Might sound weird, but hey wearing some kneepads is better than pooping in the dark. IMO anyway. :lol
