I know that there are a couple of #300+ series that are fake!! I saw them selling at my LCS... (in Singapore). I got to know from the seller, he is from HK, his products came from China to HK, then to Singapore.
He had sold around 5-8 sets...
The only ones I remembered are 32*+, 37*+ series.
Can tell the difference by the white styroform case. Buyers beware!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the the red/gold ex should have a gray styro if it's white no doubt it's fake... (only Stealth had the white styro re-issue from SS because of all the paint defects) Not sure if that's what you were asking about?

Real Legit IM= Grey Styrofoam
Fake= White Styrofoam
...I think its that way round anyway, my memory sux

You mean the ones that your LCS was selling had white styrofoam? Because I think the authentic ones have grey styrofoam. Fakes have white styrofoam. Isn't that what Shell and Skiman were saying?

I get so confused when it comes to dealing with this particular piece.

That's why I don't want one. (And that's actually really sad because I think in the long run it's really going to hurt the value of these pieces.) Because they're are so many fakes out there.

Exactly. Like I've said before, I generally don't care for comiquettes (with exception of the GR) but this really is a NICE piece.

Too bad recasters had to damage its image. I really hope that those "true" collectors who own one keep it safe and sound. Don't let it fall into the wrong hands!! This piece will definitely be a grail (if some don't consider it already) but unfortunately it will take a lot for someone like myself to buy one just because of all of the recasts. And its getting way too difficult to tell the difference. Not only that, but there are some out there who really believe they have the real thing when in all reality it's a recast. Then they sell it not knowing and another buyer gets scammed, which makes the situation even more difficult because the SELLER honestly thinks they have the "real thing" up for sale.

Very true. Too bad not all the buyers look on forums and are aware of this situation. The people that are interested in the IM, best thing to do is do your research and ask for several pictures of the item. Have them take pictures from the butt to the face to the base. wow i should be a rapper =)
