Need large figure fodder idea for custom.

Hey guys,

I want to make a custom that requires a very big body, either a big 12" or even 16" if available.

I want him buff, but not Hulk or Thing girth.

I saw the new Killer Croc and that might work, but looking for other ideas as it retails for $30 and thats a bit over my budget for fodder.

Do they still make large wrestling figures?

I think you can still find the Jakks 12 inch Wrestling figures on ebay.

I tried to search Jakks 12" and it only came up with stuff from Jakks series 12...of the short guys.

Those are kinda cartoony and actually quite large. I don't think they are what you are looking for. But without knowing what you are making, it is hard to judge.

I think I *might* have one of those 12" Wrestlers (Sone Cold Steve Austin) somewhere in the basement. I could probably find him if that is more what you are looking for.

For whatever reason, I like trying to keep my customs secret until its done...I don't really know why...lol. But anyways, I plan on making a Durge from the cartoon when he comes out of his armor and is just a mass of tendons and guts.

I was going to use clay and build it around a buff figure. I think the cartoony and overexaggeratedness of the Ring Giants works, but I'm not sold completely either...

I completely understand about keeping projects a secret. I've got a secret project too right now for the next custom challenge. Plus if it is secret, nobody keeps bugging you to finish it

Anyhoo, those other figures might indeed work for you then. They should be available at most ToysRUs stores if you want to see them in person to judge their size and scale.

I'll still try to find that Stone Cold figure just in case.

Thanks. Yeah. I hit 2 TRUs, a Target, and a Walmart for them Saturday as I remember seeing them around, but no one had them. I am willing to bet they got marked way down after Christmas and I missed them.

I hate realizing too late that I want something after seeing them clog the shelves for months.

I found the Stone Cold figure tonight. He is pretty much the same size as Old Ben (Ewan Kenobi is displayed higher up and kinda hard to get to) but obviously much buffer. Hope that helps you decide which body to go with.

However, if you know you don't want/need him, I actually came up with an idea that I could use it for. Just let me know, you have first dibs.
