Not quite sure why 13 episodes is the go to number. Why not 10? Must've been some number crunching to where it is more lucrative I suppose.

I just finished episode 10. So far this show has gone much too slow for me. Also, there are a lot of references I don't understand (me being Asian probably). I really think they should condense all of these episodes down to 8. There's a lot of filler that can be trimmed off of this.

Also about episode 10:

I like how Danny Rand is more than how he was on his solo series and Defenders. He's still cringe-worthy at times, but I get the cheesy charm of it. However, god is he awful in those fight scenes! I mean, he's stiffer than Keanu in the Matrix, and his movements look sloppy and ill-rehearsed. Sometimes, it's also very obvious that his punches do not connect. And that final throw.... ouch.... That was bad. I did like the paddy-cake maneuver though.

I finished up the season the other night and I thought it was much better than the first season (which went downhill towards the end)

Some thoughts -

I liked almost all of the characters from season 1 more - Luke, Misty, Shades, Mariah
Danny was actually good in his episode, which has me hopeful for a Heroes for Hire series
I liked the villain and his backstory and am intrigued by Mariah's daughter if they use her in the future

Just finished this season. Honestly, I gotta say, I'm gobsmacked by it. I thought it was absolutely terrific. Sure, they could have cut it down to 8-10 episodes but what people call filler, I call great drama and character building. All of these Netflix Marvel shows are like watching a stage play at the theatre with characters interacting and talking and you finding out about what makes them tick. It's not for everybody but I find it fascinating most of the time watching these characters emote, share their pain and desires and grapple with things like what it really means to have great power and great responsibility, something that Spider-Man: Homecoming film never, ever got down to mentioning let alone really defining. I cannot say enough about my delight with the MCU right now. Black Panther, Jessica Jones, Infinity War (even Agents of SHIELD; the season finale notwithstanding) and now season 2 of Luke Cage have just been a succession of awesomeness, gravitas and brilliance, hitting all the right notes for me as a fan.

Disappointed with defenders and IF, couldn’t finish S2 JJ and S2 LC. Took me while but I only care/like DD and The Punisher. I’ll skip the rest from now on.

IMO the shows are getting worst since IF (Punisher excluded).

Punisher was styleless, dragged like hell for no reason and felt nothing like the Punisher. :dunno
People are free to like whatever they like, as always. But there should be a reason to not like something good and like something mediocre/bad. Just saying.

Very surprised by this. Certainly seems like a Heroes For Hire show is coming. But, can Netflix start a new show called that? Original deal only called for 3 seasons of each Defender and Defenders show. Perhaps they put it in as Defenders S2.

I wasn't unfortunately. I love Mike Colter, but something about that show didn't do him any favors - and it wasn't his acting. Maybe it's the storyline, supporting cast? I don't know, but this isn't on Mike Colter IMO. He did his part and I hope to see a cameo from him down the road.

I didn't say the story was good either. The appeal has worn off and I have honestly felt it since Defenders. Maybe the seasons are just too long while there is too much talking and not enough action.

they should do one final 10 episode season heroes for hire with luke, danny, coleen and misty

if not... luke should show back up in JJ and iron fist can never come back :lol

JJ3 was announced a few months ago. Are they going to revert that decision now? They should. People aren’t really excited for a season 3.

I loved season 1 but season 2 of JJ was awful. Doubt I'll even bother with season 3.
