What is it with these sellers that claim new in box except to inspect. I hate that line so bad. Like we really don't know that statue has been on your shelf for months. Then there are the smoke free homes. Those people probably smoke and feel guilty. LOL! Let it be known that I smoke but only in my basement. I'm not saying that all people are dishonest. It's just hard for me to read all of these auctions that have that same key line. ONLY TO INSPECT is a simple pass for me.

I actually used this line a couple of times for sideshow items. And I was telling the truth. You always take the risk of damaged sideshow products upon receipt and I always double check.

Actually I'm using it on an auction right now. It was a polystone item and they can break before they arrive. And non-smoking home can make a big difference... my buddy got a figure once and it literally stunk up his whole apartment!

Did you buy this item with intentions on selling it? I know if it was me I wouldn't open something I was just going to sell.

I always use this line as well, even if my only intention was to sell it. I don't open 12" figs cause opened items are not as valuable on 12" figs but on a PF or statue, if you don't inspect it first you run the risk of shipping a damaged item and I am not going to do that.

I can verify Bannister never opens his. Every one I bought wa never opened until I got it and I opened them thinking they would be mine forever... If they were truly mine they will come back... tra la la la la la la la la l

Thats a good point but what if it breaks in shipping? Maybe I am just strange but I would rather have an unopened box, statue, figure or whatever else. I guess that is the risk I am willing to take for someone else not touching me goods so to speak. LOL!

Here is a better way for me to put this. I know that you guys would never try to screw someone out of their money. I know this because for the most part we may have our differences but I would still trust you enough to buy something from you. However, most people on Ebay are not FREAKS like us. They will do anything to make a buck. So while I believe your posts are honest. To me most are just trying to sell their items because they need money. They were on display all along. Maybe I'm wrong. Who knows. I think it's a cool topic though.

I would just rather know a statue is undamaged when I send it, and have it arrive damaged than to have an unopened statue arrive damaged and wonder if it was like that before I sent it.

Thats the line I used to convince my wife I was a virgin.

"I swear I just took it out to inspect"
