I agree that there are more deserving characters to get a maquette. My biggest fear is that they'll focus too much on OT characters and leave a lot of these Clone Wars characters out in the cold.

Exactly. Even the C-3PO is OT, not CW.

One of the reasons the maquettes have been so successful is staying with main characters and that it accurately represents the character as seen in the animated series. I don't know how well the Barriss/Luminara has done, but I imagine with the higher price point and more obscure characters, it didn't do as well. Now, they've gone to an EU only character who I don't think is at all popular with collectors.

Perhaps they will use the failure of this figure as an excuse to concentrate on OT characters. Personally, I like the Leia and Boba Fett. I had planned on pre-ordering the Vader, but now that I've seen the Luke, I might just stop with the 2 I've already ordered. The OT figures appeal to a greater audience, but it is easier to miss the mark with the representation.

Oh, and they could definitely do another Padme in the CW line.

i think they are all very nice but as said before some of the obscure characters are a bit strange choice.

The nicest of the whole series is the boba fett. It has real character
