Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

What does it refer to anyway? :lol

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

I have been looking at pics of the Character Options 12 inch Doctor Who figures, and some of the aliens look pretty good. It seems like with a new paint job, they could fit in reasonably well with the Big Chief figures. Does anyone here have them?

I agree. It's a beautiful figure but the eyes are lifeless. She could use a new paint job.

When i spoke to the guys at BC Studios they said that the final eyes would be some kind of transfer that would look more life like than painted eyes. The David Tennant portrait is no where near completed its basicaly just a place holder to get interest,BC told me they want it to look perfect.

They are decals. Hot Toys has been doing their eyes like this for a while.

Managed to pick them all up over the years (bar the RC Dalek colour variants), and yeah, if you wanted to repaint them they'd be up there OK. The base bodies aint great but they do the job. The Clockwork man is a fave of mine.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

I always wanted the Clockwork man... The Judoon always looks cool too.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Dang it Jeff. I just ordered both. :cuss

Sorry Marc... I picked most up in discount stores and on eBay. Appart from the RC Dalek and Cyber leader I dont think I paid over £5 for any of them. The Judoon does look great but the outfit is all moulded so the articulation isn't too wonderful. Novice Hame was a mere 99p

Is the April date for Eleven set in stone? Could it be earlier or later or is BC confident about the ETA this time?

I have both Tens and Martha, no monsters.

I've got The 10th Doctor
Cyberman
Cyberleader
Judoon
Clockwork Man
Cat nun (forget her real name.)
Davros. (Does he count?)

They're all surprisingly good for what they are.

Glad to hear it. That's the figure's current downfall.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

I've got all the 12'' CO DW figures and they are exceptionally well done for a mass-market line. The only bad one was the 10th Doctor (sadly) and it might be saved with a better paint job. Thankfully we won't have to worry about that eventually. :)

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

I also have a few of the old 12" line, and I have to say I thought they were wonderful considering the cheap price. In fact dare I say that I wish they were still continuing with that line as I could see myself buying more at that price then BC, sadly.

I can't can't qualify spending that kind of money on 'dollies' anymore I'm afraid. :(
