I'm actually thinking the EX will be nice to have as it is subtely different. Would I have preferred a different art direction for the heads? Definitely, and less crazy hair would have been good. Taken as a whole though I still like it

Quite agree. I do like this as a whole, too. The REG would be enough for me, most definitely. However, you have me thinking about the EX ...just to have the subtle different COH. And perhaps to have an extra head to modify to my liking. That might just be a good idea.

What age range is Emma Frost supposed to be? As whenever I look at the regular head, I'm thinking it looks a tad older than it should?

Well the way aging works in comics complicates things obviously, but the only time her age has ever been directly stated she said she was 27.

Other context makes her slightly younger than the Original 5 X-Men, who are generally considered to be about 30 so it fits in there too.

Of course back in the 80s she frequently looked like a woman in her 40s/50s in the Hellfire Club because of the art styles of the time, but supporting media like handbooks/encyclopedias always said she was young.

$560...ehhhh, I think this is a pass. Honestly not as expensive as I thought they might make it. The EX is just not needed whatsoever. I'll wait for in hand pics to decide but seems like I can stick with what I already got. I hope Rogue is around this price as well.

Rogue will probably carry the same price tag as the Mags MAQ. So, I'm expected Rogue to be in the $750 range.

We all feel that way about Mags as well. That didn't stop sideshow from changing him from a PF to a MAQ so they could slap a $750 price tag on him. I think all of these new PFs and MAQs are overpriced. Hell, the new EX Emma PF will cost more than $600 shipped when it's all said and done. That's about how much I paid for my Lobo PF just a few short years ago. Pricing is already getting out of hand and it'll only get worse. By the end of this year the standard EX PF will be about $600. In about 2 years we'll more than likely see it at around $700. I personally thought pricing got out of hand when we crossed $500 for the average PF.

Man, I'm so glad I only need a few more characters for my 1/4 collection. I'd hate to be a collector that's just getting into the hobby nowadays.

I’m pretty much done...there’s not much left for me to really worry about buying. I’ve spent more money on car stuff than statues so far this year, I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I’d rather save that $750 for a crate engine

I completely understand. Not much for classic collectors to get excited about. Best to spend your money where you'd enjoy it.

Agree wholeheartedly. I only need a few more characters as well (and I'm running out of space ). My first premium format ever was the original Spider-Man and I think I paid $265 for it. Prices have gone up incredibly. I will say that a lot of the statues are much better looking than they used to be so there is some rationale for the increase. It still doesn't excuse all of the price increases though.

I still give credit to ss for at least giving the ex a coh. Still ex or fail with the option imo. The head may not be the best. But it’s one heck of a ex option! Thanks ss for a good ex!

In four years it hasn't even doubled, let alone quadrupled.
