Great work! I'm definitely interested in the Deckard "A" head sculpt and kit.

Sideshow's Indy sculpt was a great one by Trevor Grove. What ruined it was the poor SS factory paint job. I still want to repaint mine, or get it repainted. The recent HT Indy head sculpt is okay, but better with a repaint too. Someone on the board here recently did a very nice repaint of it.

Here is a picture of the completed gun:

I think the black paint and the black wash covers up the detail
Have you tried using a black stain to give it that anodized look?

Or just leave it unpainted.

Thanks for the suggestion Erik-
I think that is probably a kit of some sort.

I was going by the look of the screen used gun with the black/blue body and slightly rusted metal barrel etc:

I'm trying to brainstorm ideas for a bonus accessory for the full figure sets. Do you guys have any suggestions? I have an idea for something but I want to see if there's anything I'm not thinking of that would be be more appropriate. :)

I was thinking the same with the Vk machine. Either that or a bottle of that Chinese Beer he buys after retiring Zhora. Or even one of his glasses.

I don't know why I thought it was anodized. Even the photo I posted isn't anodized.
Great reference photo.

If you did the Voit Kamph machine that would be way cool.

Or make a Zombie Deckard head.

Bonus accessory? How about a 1/6 scale Rachael, in all her fur coat loveliness?
Oh, that was very wrong, I know!! In many ways! :rotflBut tell me, how will I ever persuade someone to finally make a Rachael available? One would think, by her beauty, and the impressive cloths she wears she'd be a no.1 target, but alas...:monkey2.

Seriously now: yes a VK machine pops to mind immediately, but I'm not sure it will generate sexy display options. I think the briefcase that holds the VK machine is a more practical option.

He's been reading newspapers in the movie, so a futuristic newspaper could be nice perhaps?

Yes, he drinks a lot in the movie, and I really like all those scenes. Whiskey, Tsing Tao, ... But is that do-able in 1/6 scale?
Btw, it's true, there is a Chinese beer called Tsing Tao, but I don't think that that's what Deckard buys from the lady. It must be some kind of spirit. I can't imagine that someone who has the 'shakes' from killing someone, and fighting someone that is physically much stronger than him by definition, settles for a beer! Besides, he drinks the Tsing Tao out of a shot glas. Love that scene, when the blood mixes slowly with the clear liquid inside the glass.

You might find more interesting info here:

Would a BD head and hands (like for the Brothers Production Replicant Batty) make the budget explode? Yes, maybe it would...

Please no origami unicorn or other things that might suggest that Deckard could be a replicant himself!

No, it is definitely Tsing Tao beer that he buys, although in a one-of-a-kind futuristic bottle. Ridley Scott Mentions it in his commentary, and that it was Harrison's idea. And I beleive a Rachel sculpt was made not too long ago.

Ridley also says that Deckard is a replicant... :). One of a kind futuristic bottle? No, it was originally made and used by Smirnoff it seems - Smirnoff de Czar Vodka special reserve (wish I could credit the pic, but I can't).

I know Deckard ordered Tsingtao, but I don't believe that it was beer he got. Could have been Vodka. He drinks it from a shot glass after all. Also, it seems, Tsingtao Vodka is an existing Chinese Vodka distillery (check on the vodka index: www.vodkaindex.com), so the idea is not really far-fetched. That's what I think anyway.

Back to the accessory. How about one of those light-up umbrellas? I know Deckard never used one himself in the movie, but with a working small neon tube, it would make a very fine display. Very 80ies too!

Chinese noodles!

:lol :goodpost: He did like his noodles.

I need no persuasion for this:wink1:...

Update:
I'm just waiting on the clothes now but they are almost done. I am having a couple things amended for them to be as accurate as possible.
I hope to have something to show you guys very soon!

Cheers-S.

This will be the special bonus gift that will be included with the full figure sets:
My friend Rainman and I thought it'd be fun to collaborate on it. He did the tiny absolutely brilliant arm/eye piece!
