Right they are tight in the movie, which is why I think they look kind of loose on the toy (I'm being serious actually!)

I'm a 6 inch collector yes but I might add that I like my HT and 1/6 items better than 90% of my 6 inch collection though :)

I think it was the Jeans that made it seem really doll like to me. I've seen some very convincing 1/6 scale pants but no ones been able to pull off Denim yet.

I understand what you're saying and I kinda feel the same way. I'd like to at least water treat them to tighten them up. The cut of the jeans is kinda rectangular and they don't sit well on they lower half of the body. The cut around the boot doesn't taper and b/c they're not very tight, they hang weird above the boot. The stitching around the pockets is a very bright orange and kinda large too. Also, the wash on them is also not very exciting. HT does a much better jean. The pair on the US Navy Seal 'M60 Shorty' figure are the best I've ever seen--very thin and soft with a nice wear to them and the hang nice over the boot.

Should I get this? I saw it today at NYCC in person and know of a store here in NYC that carries it. It tempted me abut at 150 bucks?? Eehh. I love the head but the rest looks a little doll like to me.

Hows the quality compared to Hot Toys figures? How is this figure?

Razor's Edge Collectibles had them for $129 last week in stock. Might want to check there and save the $20 :chew

If you are careful and use a lighter weight denim, you can pull off good loking 1/6 jeans.

Key word was look better. I look at the figures more than rub their jeans :lol

Good quality is something you can feel AND see. :lol
Look at the bottom cut in Mesa's pic here--it's too high even with the slight knee bend and the square cut makes them look like bell bottoms. Kinda amateurish IMO. And notice that cut around the waist is very square also. But the boots make up for it. Those things are very nice.
my contributions (no futtzings, none planned):

Got Jack today and boy and I impressed. The headsculpts are surprisingly well done, but I can't wait to see what Chris has up his sleeves for him.

And I just had to laugh at the UPS email confirming delivery
