That'd be kinda cool....it could almost be like a bust. But, not really at the same time...

They could have the head coming out of the water...

That would be cool.

A 24" Bruce attacking a HUGE Orca boat would be perfect. If it's just some toy shark, then I'll officially be upset. :(

They can't get a license like this and not make an awesome replica. Make a toy shark for those that want one, but PLEASE make a Jaws maquette!!

Hey all!

New to post here but I've been spying on you all for a long time.

I'm excited about the JAWS "bust-maquette-whatever" and, I have to say, somewhat disappointed that they won't be making 1/6th figures of Quint, Hooper and Brody -- although at the same time my heart sank yesterday when I first heard the news as I literally just finished upgrading my own 12" customs of the Jaws heroes which I had originally built back in 2000. If I can figure out how to post pix I will...if anyone wants to see them.

Anyway, glad to finally be onboard with you all.

I'd rather see a bruce more along the lines of the Kong stop motion piece, but finished. Something on a stand or rig that was somewhat poseable, with a mouth that opens and closes, that sort of thing. Know what I mean?

Yeah, that would be cool, get a feel for the mechanism that SS used while filming. Even though it did not work as well as intended when they made the movie. Would be awesome to have that....

I'm sorry if this was posted before, but are they really not making any 1/6 Jaws figures? That would be a huge disappointment because I have absolutely no interest in 1/4 scale (no offense to anyone who likes 1/4, I just have no space for it). I wonder how many share my feelings?

It was in chat - don't know what it is or if 24" includes just Bruce or is the full size of the item. And it was confirmed that the actors likenesses is not part of thhe license.

:banghead That makes this license about as useful as the Tremors one. :banghead

I definitely wouldn't want something like that simply because there were no miniatures for this film. Bruce was a huge 1:1 replica.

I'm hoping for a 24" design maquette on a stand similar to the MR Nautilus. I think that would work very well. I do wish that they made Bruce bigger than 24" though. :(

Honestly, 12" figures of characters from the Tremors films seems like one of those ideas that would never, ever, in a million years, be successful.

I'd be up for 12" Quint, Brody, Hooper though.

I'm a little surprised that anyone is interested in 1/6 figures from Jaws anyway. I'd probably buy Quint and Brodie, but the real interesting part of the film is the shark, after all.

i think sideshow knows there is no market for jaws 12 inch figures. they'd probably be lucky to sell 100 of each character.:google

Wow, what exciting and depressing news all at the same time! No figures? What the hell?!?! This film is a classic piece of American Cinema with easily recognizable characters!

I thought we would at least get:

~ Quint
~ Brody (Sherrifs outfit)
~ Brody (Orca outfit)
~ Hooper (Orca outfit)
~ Hooper ( Scuba Gear)

What a missed opportunity!

Last year at Wonderfest there was an artist there that had an incredible Bruce the Shark kit on the hydrolics stand. I'll see if I can dig up a picture of it. If this is what Sideshow is leaning towards then count me in. But if it's just a Shark-On-A-Stick, well I'll be hard pressed to pick it up unless it phenominal. Maybe at least they will give us a polystone Orca Plaque with the shark jaws mounted to them. Come to think of it, I don't think that plaque even said Orca.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Bruce himself doesn't look that great though.

I can't wait to order my 24" Bruce statue!

I love Jaws but never in a million years would dream I'd buy collectibles from it. But if they do a nice diorama with Bruce and the Orca I might just have to bite.

A shark on a crane is less interesting to me.
