I was thinking about getting a couple of those cheap little bamboo plants from Walmart and putting them on each side. They don't need much light just like Gizmo.

I have him piled in a corner now and he really doesn't look happy at all in his new case. I swear it's like he got sad. I'm building him a shelf today in a friend's workshop so maybe he'll perk up once he's out of the corner. lol

Man, I totally got the measurements wrong on the shelf somehow. It came out lop-sided. Must have been the alcohol. lol

Yeah, lol. That's what I get for doing this on the 4th of July when there's too much beer laying around. Something told me to put down the the bottle or the wood but I didn't listen.

I decided to make the whole shelf an octagon shape to match the base with an inch over for the edging. It's perfectly measured now. Just gotta cut it, router, and make the bracket and backplate.

I was googling images of the medicom gizmo and found this thread.

I'm a huge gremlins fan and would like to have this, but my only concern is the eyelashes. In some pics they don't look very noticeable but in others they appear thick and completely block his trademark eyelids.

I'm not sure if that's due to lighting conditions, angles, or different lashes used at the factory. Can those who have gizmo post some close-ups of his eyes with natural light and flash?

Me too! I have the spot on the wall picked out but I may not get back to my friend's shop for a couple weeks due to our schedules. Giz will have to stay in his corner until then.

I've been working OT every weekend and haven't had a chance to finish my new shelf, but on another note the Gremlins 2 stunt puppet will be shipping shortly. I just got charged for it. Not sure if there's a thread for that yet but I'll post results once it arrives...

Giz arrived last week and I couldn't be happier! Santa getup off and he's ready to stand around looking mighty impressive.

I'll take some more pics soon, it's getting late and I don't want him getting into the fridge.
