He looks amazing, all the detail was preserved, paint looks flat as to be expected, but the textures are richer than the maquette so it's less noticable. Congrats, very lucky, I'm jealous for sure.

It's a really nice solid piece.

They did the Newman sculpt proper justice. Detail is fantastic. Spines are really sharp.
Bits of subtle greens and white, doesn't look as flat as the Maquette did.
I'm very happy with it, half price due to RPs helped.

thanks guys for posting pics. i must say i'm quite relieved, as i feared it would turn out like the maquette. the paint apps look significantly better here, and the textures are sharp. can't wait to get mine now!

Oh wow very impressive guys, love the pictures. I am now extremely tempting of getting it, my 24" G14 Marquette is in need of a buddy.

Detailing is sharper than the maquette but the proportions are pretty off. Head is too big for the body and he's too trim. X-plus is still the most film accurate incarnation of G'14. Happy for those who love it though!

Technically NECA is most accurate, though the aesthetic affected by articulation.

Even with off proportions, there's a quality to how Godzilla is depicted by this statue that I love and makes me overlook those elements.

On second examination I do agree, the head is way too big to body ratio, and the upper jaw seems to be too long? Gonna need to see some video reviews.

This turned out really good. Given the higher level of detail, especially on the arms, any repaints that come out are going to be very interesting to see. If I had it in me, I'd grab one of these and paint it a dark ash gray with red highlights on the ends of the scales.

I like this so much more than the maquette simply because the details are not as soft.

Agreed. I have the maquette, and comparing the two, I almost wish I could tear them apart and mix-n-match them. :lol More of it would be this one, though. If I ever come across someone with good sculpting skills, I'm going to try to get the arms and lower shins on mine redone with more scales and fine details. I'm still eager to give it a repaint too. But the more I think about it, I'd love to get this one and do a red/black.

This thing looks like it turned out great!!! With the combination of pose and sculpt this looks like the 2014 Godzilla to own. Congrats to those who got him...
