This is something I said should be done long ago in one of the HT-Medi-SSC debates. I said it'd be great to get a bodie that would incorporate the best features of all 3 companies, and it looks like we're seeing the start of a relationship that could really benefit us as collectors, here's to hoping this is just the beginning.

I completely agree. Plus I'll feel a bit better about replacing all the Sideshow bodies with SIDESHOW bodies. I like consistency (though I'll probably still use BBI g3.5 for Luke (and possibly Obi-Wan) since they're a bit below 6' tall.

now all we need is for sideshow to let hot toys make the 1/6th figures, slap them in a sideshow box and we'll be good to go. :rotfl

That will make it SS's best body.

This should IMO pretty much end any debate on who makes the best 1:6th figures. So many of you say that HT has the best bodies and IMO SS makes the best outfits and sculpts. It pretty much makes it case closed on who will rule the 1:6th world.

Bond fans have particular cause to rejoice with the announcement of the new small sized body--the most sought after figure of the Bond line can now be released! It must surely be only a matter of time before we get this one:

From the brief conversation I had with Brant, I would say that you're thinking in the right direction. I think that we can expect some very important announcements in the future as a result of this relationship.

Well...let's wait and see how these new bodies turn out before we close the case here.

That being said, I'm inclined to agree with you. Sideshow's outfits are very well done in most cases, and the face sculpts are top notch. One of their biggest flaws has been the outdated Buck body. This will clearly eliminate that problem.

Now, all they need to do is up the QC on the paint apps, and it should definitely be a closed case at that point. :)

We can wait of course to call it. :D

Well then, I doubt anyone can accuse you of rose-colored glasses now... :lol

Seriously though, I hope they introduce these new bodies in all sizes very soon and sell them separately for cheap. If they're around the $25 mark, I will definitely upgrade Maul, Kenobi, Han, and Leia Boushh.

I defintely swap out some bodies. Not on all of them, but a few defintely. Han comes to mind, maybe Anakin. I just hope they keep the SSC styled hands. They have the best hand sculpts on the planet, and they are so easy to swap out!

I'd love to swap out Anakin, but how would that be possible with the special modifications made to accommodate the interchangeable arms?

As for the hand sculpts, yes they are great, but hopefully they won't be oversized anymore.
