That's correct. You learn more about the island as you go on. I would recommend looking for the documents spread out over the island. They really help you understand the characters and the island's history a bit more.

Played a little of this today. Its what I figured I guess. Uncharted with a nice rack. I can't express how much a loath quick time events. Watching a cutscene over and over until I memorize where and what the button presses are. FUN! I love trial and error game design. I guess I'll never be able to enjoy this kind of game like most seem to. Bummer.

I'm just over halfway in and, thankfully, haven't had a QTE in many hours. Few at the frontend of the game, but after that they seem to all but vanish.

It's a fantastic game, but I do feel there's too much combat versus exploration/climbing. This is Tomb Raider, a few puzzles wouldn't have gonr amiss. Ok, block pulling sucks, but the Uncharted series managed a better balance between the two IMO. Kinda feel I'm going from one combat scenario to another with little between them at the moment.

Still a great game, though

I'm about 3 hours into the game. It's been the most fun I've had with a PS3 game in a long, long time.
