For all the kiddies on the board...see there was these things called cassettes back then and....:D

Gotta admit. I was never much of a Transformers fan. I am 36 years old now, and when the cartoons etc. were out, I was a little old to be watching them "back in the day..", but this movie looks pretty darn good, but it IS a Micheal Bay movie...let's hope it's more like The Rock, and less like Pearl Harbor.

I love seeing the old toys, man I loved breaking these on Christmas morning.

:lol

When I was a kid, my sister used to take me to Target a few weeks before Christmas and literally let mestuff as much as I could in a shopping cart. Naturally it was ALL Transformers, which were boxed up and I had to wait to open. X-Mas Morning was pure Transformers bliss!! I wish I still had all of them. :monkey2

I remember i got to open sideswipe early before xmas cause i was getting my tonsils out when i was 6.

Good kid memory's.

Yeah, especially considering the average G1 boxed Transformer goes for 200 US!

Boxed?! Transformers, what kid would have kept them like that?! :google

Beats me LOTRfan. I'm just saying is all. lol

That is why I am shocked everytime I see a MISB G1 Transformer on eBay! I always question myself and ask how did this sucker not get broken into and played with? Nowadays you have millions of collectors keeping their toys in their packages with the hope that one day their toys will be worth Gold, which a lot of them won't be because the market is over-saturated with MISB toys. Old and new alike.

However, back in the day Transformers weren't a big thing amongst collectors and were mostly purchased for children by family members. Back then nobody had the idea if you keep them in the box mint they would be worth 100 X more than they were worth back in 1984. Makes you think.

I hate to break up this stroll down memory lane but that preview was just awesome. If the entire movie is half as good as those few minutes I think I could forgive Michael Bay for not sticking closer to the look and feel of the '80's transformers.
