Yeah, despite his being most associated with drawing the yellow suit, the brown suit was actually first created by John Byrne (not sure if he created it on his own, or in consultation with Claremont, or what). I know folks love them some Jim Lee, and that he drew Wolvie in the brown suit for much of his time doing X-Men, but he played zero role in coming up with it.

There was, however, one suit that Jim Lee most likely did create for Wolverine. And I think he was about as successful with it as he was with various other outfits he designed:

agreed...have never been able to pull the trigger on the original PF (Reg or Ex) because i hate the pose...i always picture Wolvie with a hoola-hoop around his waist
