Gambit, Rogue, Nightcrawler and Apocalypse are off limits last I heard. They don't want anything promoting the movies they won't make money off of.

They already did a PF apocolypse and gambit hasnt been in any of the movies. Guess i dont really understand what you mean. Do you have a link with that information?

Also, on statueforum, SS confirmed Nightcrawler is a restricted character currently. I know they made PFs in the past of these characters, but the list of licencing restrictions is constantly changing based on what Marvel wants to hinder.

Disney is collaborating with several movie studios including FOX

Movies Anywhere is a cloud-based digital locker and over-the-top streaming platform operated by The Walt Disney Company. The service allows users to stream and download purchased films, including digital copies redeemed from codes found in home media releases as well as digital purchases from participating services. The platform provides content from Walt Disney Studios, Universal Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures. The system utilizes an internal platform known as KeyChest, which synchronizes content licenses from digital distribution platforms linked to a central user account.

I called it

Disney is looking to acquire the XMEN franchise along with F4

that's not really new news. Sony had the exclusive rights to Hulk and Spiderman movies and Marvel/Disney have worked to successfully reintegrate those characters into their extended universe. They've been fighting with Fox for the rights to X-Men and F4 for nearly a decade.

It is news

Ultraviolet has been unsuccessful

And now the digital locker for All FOX movies belongs to The Walt Disney Company.

It’s a major shift

Previously Apple Amazon and Disney were the only distributors that didn’t adopt Ultraviolet

It now appears that Disney has the backing of most movie studios with the exception of Lionsgate and Paramount.

Disney owns the central hub for distribution of all FOX movies

It doesn’t get more obvious than that

By 2019 Disney will create its own streaming service to compete against Netflix

It’s called Movies Anywhere

Are you guys talking about how Disney wants to buy 21st Century Fox?

Mind you, just the movie, TV and streaming side of 21st Century Fox. Not the News and Sport side.

What started out as this discussion on Marvel alledgedly boycotting the XMEN turned into a discussion on streaming services and the potential for mergers between other movie studios and Disney.

If Disney were to make the move now would probably be the best time as any to make a bid.

Disney has the resources and market capitalization to do so and logically it makes a lot of sense. In the past they did acquire Miramax and Touchstone but both of those were not profitable

FOX owning tv and film properties makes it all the more lucrative not to mention FOX owns certain Marvel properties.

Stan Lee hinted that X-Men would return back to where it belongs a couple months ago.

Fair Market Value went from 80 billion as of 2014 down to 50 billion as of 2017

It’s obviously more “affordable” now

Depends on the premium FOX thinks it can get

As a Disney shareholder for many years I hope this deal goes through. Traditional media companies will have to merge to continue to be competative.

Oh man ...this is totally off topic in this Wolverine thread. Lol.

But I'm all for Disney buying out 21st Century Fox ...especially if it means Marvel gets back the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

More importantly, if the buy happens, we could potentially see more X-Men characters in statue form as well as in the comics.
