Hate you cant look down the row of options at an angle any more but rather in a flat 2 dimensional linear way now.
Dont care about ESPN

Yeah I'm not a fan right now either. I may grow to like it. Only messed with it for a little last night.

I'm not happy about it either.

The reason for the new flatness is because this dashboard is navigatable (real word?) via the Kinect now. I guess they figured the flat would help with the new hand cursor.

I'm with you guys and think it's garbage. Make sure you go in system settings and turn off the menu sounds because they get frakking annoying after 2 minutes. I'm not a fan of the looks either and feel they added too much white to it. Also, WTF is up with that boot up sound?? Crap.

The look is terrible and the removal of the cascaded windows should be a crime! Worst update I have seen on any platform yet to date.

Yeah, that is in particular a bad idea, it doesn't even give any indication of other options, you have to know they are there to find them

Eh, it's not bad. Everything feel like it's in the same place. It just has a new coat of paint and is more two dimensional so all the Kinect early adopters (i.e. suckers) can waive their arms around to navigate the dashboard.

The new dashboard should be optional, meaning only kinect wussies should use it

That's exactly the way I feel about it. I agree that the two-dimensionality should have been an optional update so that Kinect users would benefit without being a disservice to the rest of us.

Found a major issue. When you go to games library and choose a game, the old dashboard had a list of items you could download for the game. They have removed this list. That seems kind of dumb from an advertising add-ons standpoint.

Me too. I dislike this one, but I don't really spend all that much time in the dashboard either. It almost feels like this should've been the NXE Update, and the actual NXE update should've been this one

On a sidenote, I still don't get why they put Twitter, and Facebook on XBL?? Seems like a waist of time and space IMHO, and ESPN is cool.....but was it really needed? I don't think so.

I guess with all the complaints its good that mine wont let me update! I've tried the USB thing and straight from xbox-live and still wont let me update...has anyone tried the clearing system cache thing?
