I think his "serious" face does that, but I love figures having their "game on" looks**** he’s such a boring character. Even his expression looks bored
He got them in Ragnarok!I'm kind of ticked that they gave a pallete swapped version of the comic costume to the evil Strange, and hero Strange is always stuck looking like the MCU version that's been unchanged in all of his appearances thus far. Also, can they just give him some ******* gloves already?!
Teeth showing sculpts don't seem to pan out well. Seems like a more stoic gaze is the best route to go. Can't please everyone. You are also racist for saying he is bored when clearly he is Asian. Some people...**** he’s such a boring character. Even his expression looks bored
Yeah, and he looked great. But that was just a Post-Credits scence and obviously he'll never wear them again. You know, when I think of the fact that even an important B-Lister like Stange, who's played by a well known actor and has appeared in multiple flicks, still hasn't been tanslated correctly, at least correctly enough for me to want a figure, I look at my wishlist full of C & D listers and realise that half of these will never ever get a figure, look aside, so why even beat myself up over them? I doubt we'll ever get classic Strange or a better cape. At this point any dreams of a red-&-black Strange are dead.He got them in Ragnarok!
Well you will never get a fully translated from comics character. Marvel had to compromise for a certain actor and humor added that might not tonally fit with the character. Expectations can be a problem and it seems like the less you know about a character from the comics the better he or she is on screen. There is certain standards though and I think Marvel has a lot more hits than misses. Strange will be around awhile and I passed on many iterations of Iron Man till I finally pulled the trigger on the MK85, which is the best for me. Thor and Hulk till Ragnarok. Black Panther wasn't served well as it seemed like Killmonger was the more impressive character on screen, but I still got the BP cause he looked great. BP outsmarts his opponents and didn't really hit the mark in the movie. Cap should be beefier. Stark taller. Netflix DD suit isn't great, Punisher didn't really punish in his own series. Just hope for the best look for your character and pull the trigger.Yeah, and he looked great. But that was just a Post-Credits scence and obviously he'll never wear them again. truth is I didn't like the netflix universe suits either nor did I feel like it fit into the MCU. Didn't feel like the same universe. I don't think it is anymore.Well you will never get a fully translated from comics character. All true. That's why I waited until Endgame myself to get an Iron Man, as that suit's close to the Modular look. But if Doctor Strange can't get a good, faithful costume, then I doubt I'm ever getting even half of my wishlist. So it defeats the point of having one in the first place, when I know that by the time they'll get to X-Men I'll be already knee-deep in Star Wars, so I won't even be able to entertain getting the second stingers. So, in a way, that's good for me. But I do hate the fact that movies have to overcomplicate designs and not just translate the things from the books. It's easy and a whole lot of them work just fine, but we're stuck with the same LINESLINESLINESLINESLINES look across the board. Strange should've had a classy tunic and cloak, not that mess of random bandage-like strips of clothing he wears. I get what they're going for, but Jesus, update the look already. Aren't they supposed to do that in order to sell more toys?Well you will never get a fully translated from comics character. They do changed up everyone pretty well except for Strange like you said. Same suit for all the movies. Maybe the What If or another movie down the road (when he becomes Sorcerer Supreme) he will get an update. But hey, Strange in Winter Gear is one variation so far...All true. “What If...?” is part of the MCU. You mean a live action version. He seems he may be in Spider-Man NWH.Having watched the 4th episode, I hope to see "What if" Strange in MCU.
If that ever happens, I will definitely get him.
Yeah, Cap gets unnecessary changes in every flick, meanwhile Strange is stuck with his subpar look for 5 years now. I just don't know anymore. I think this happens just to piss me, specifically, off. Quesion now is, do I pull the trigger for the inevitable MOM version, or wait in case he gets another look down the road? Just for how many years are they gonna keep Cumberbatch signed on?They do changed up everyone pretty well except for Strange like you said. Same suit for all the movies. Are there any parted out gloves that would bring his current look closer to what you're envisioning? I quite like the look of the Infinity War figure but I'm also not tied to his comic book look at all... I would think if he doesn't have an updated look in MoM, you're in for a very long wait.Yeah, Cap gets unnecessary changes in every flick, meanwhile Strange is stuck with his subpar look for 5 years now. I very much anticipate an updated look for Strange in MoM, although DisMarvel has left money on the table before, I'd be shocked if they let the character make yet another appearance without a modified costume. Are there any parted out gloves that would bring his current look closer to what you're envisioning? Nah, MCU Strange is too different from his comic look for just a pair of gloves to fix it. They had some great concept art but they went with a rather bland design. Are there any parted out gloves that would bring his current look closer to what you're envisioning? You've waited this long, I'd wait for a DS2 Strange. Trailer might even reveal a new one in...Nov/Dec?Yeah, Cap gets unnecessary changes in every flick, meanwhile Strange is stuck with his subpar look for 5 years now. I just don't know anymore. Oh, I am waiting for a DS2 Strange. I'm debating whether buying that or waiting even longer in case they do a Strange 3 and he gets gloves and a tunic or something. You've waited this long, I'd wait for a DS2 Strange. Trailer might even reveal a new one in...Nov/Dec?
I didn't get my one and only Roadworn Thor till his 5th movie.Oh, I am waiting for a DS2 Strange. I'm debating whether buying that or waiting even longer in case they do a Strange 3 and he gets gloves and a tunic or something.
He is the closest to a "normal" Thor. The others feel too overdesigned and plastic. I'm not interested in a Thor, but I'm still waiting for a perfect Loki. Hopefully the show having more seasons will us some good designs. With Strange I just don't know if he's going to get a third film and if I'm willing to risk missing my chance. I'll wait for the trailer and judge the new suit, I suppose. I want to get all the Sorcerers, but beyond Strange, Wanda and Loki I don't think anyone else has a shot. I doubt Clea will appear, and they probably scrapped Derickson's Nightmare in favour of Shuma-Gorath. Maybe if they make a Fate from Black Adam I'll sneak him there too (multiverse, Doctor Strangefate stuff, I don't have to explain jack). The Hellstrom Twins I doubt will ever be adapted. Magik will probably get made at some point.I didn't get my one and only Roadworn Thor till his 5th movie.
I'm sorry, what??? Subpar? That's a new one on me, as the Strange HT figure was lauded upon release for the quality & intricacy of the outfit's design and the attention to detail. It was almost universally named figure of the year at the time, and the IW release was no different. I realize you're referring to the outfit that Marvel chose to use rather than the figure itself, but if it truly was a subpar looking outfit that fact would have leaked into figure reviews as well.Yeah, Cap gets unnecessary changes in every flick, meanwhile Strange is stuck with his subpar look for 5 years now.
