1/6 NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?

Bespin Han is forever in limbo, but really odd that they haven’t released Bespin Luke yet. That figure seemed ready to go.

ROTJ Vader seems like an easy one for ROTJ 40th in 2023.

I hope they have a few ROTJ figures planned for the 40th anniversary. The ESB anniversary release were underwhelming aside from the Lando announcement. That felt like a minor miracle.

ESB is rip for more figures. ROTJ, I just don't see much logically.
ESB: Chewy w/C3P0 backpack, Bespin Luke reissue (Ebay $700), Bespin Han, Hoth Han, Hoth Luke, Tauntaun, Veers, Luke w/Yoda backpack, bounty hunters
ROTJ: Han w/Endor coat, Piett, Ackbar w/chair, C-3PO, don't see them doing a Jabba

I definitely don't seem them doing a Piett/Veers/Ackbar. Bounty hunters will be with Book of Boba. Clearly the big missing pieces are Bespin Han to go with Leia, Hoth Han and Luke, Endor Han to go with Endor Luke/Leia and C-3PO. Been saying it for awhile, a Luke/Yoda and Chewy/3P0 would bring down the house.

AT-ST driver, various Imperials, Rebel commandos, various pilots, but also not likely as those require headsculpts.

There’s a lot that could be done, but a lot that unfortunately won’t. Unless Howard loves ROTJ. Someone should ask him.

I think he loves all the OT.

He saw Star Wars in 1977, and truly fell in love with it due to the design, effects, cinematography, music and story of The Empire Strikes Back.

Producing figures is governed by potential sales, and...

...since Mandalorian is so close to ROTJ, it is easier for us to release figures from the OT. This is exactly what we were waiting for.

I keep thinking this too. Veers/Piett are popular with OT fans. Empire stuff sells well for Hot Toys, always has. They’d do well - the response on Krennic and Tarkin is proof of that. I’m hopeful Howard has plans for both of these guys.

All kidding aside, does anyone realistically think HT is ever going to make a figure of a relatively obscure character that had 2 or 3 lines in ESB? They just got around to releasing Lando, and Bespin Han and C-3PO are nowhere in sight.

We do hope so. They can make any other figures, but they should make these too.

Well if you really want to look at it, Howard says Mando is close enough to OT to make OT stuff. We are now in the onslaught of Mando and I would like to think that will be slowing down till Book of Boba. Perhaps more OT releases in between Disney+ shows?
