I'm so glad I'm not a Marvel collector. It's just a constant barrage of figures from Hot Toys.

It is. I am a Marvel collector. Although I have to say that ever since Endgame came out, it slowly became less. But nonetheless, Marvel still keeps my interest.

But like all their D+ stuff, this barrage of Marvel feels forced. I don't know what it is. It's just too much. They are oversaturating. Look at President Loki for instance. I genuinely believe it's one of the best headsculpts HT has made. The emotion in that smiling sculpt is unprecedented. They even threw in a fun accessory in the form of Aligator Loki.

There would be a time this would be a day one pre-order for me. Now... not so much. It's a great figure of a character that has been better. And it'll be way overpriced.

Not only are they pricing collectors out of this hobby, they also give way too many choices. This is the third Loki figure currently in production. Should he make an appearance in Doctor Strange 2, we'll probably get a fourth one. Although the Endgame version should be out by then.

Anyway, to me it feels like they are trying too hard to stay relevant and in the picture after Endgame, while Phase 4 hasn't been all too special so far and they know it.

In September, I thought that hot toys would sprinkle in a few ot/pt announcements before bobf starts. Wow, I was wrong. Two basically repainted clones don’t count. This has been a boring 3 months.

Highly doubt it. It’ll be Book of Boba if it’s anything Star Wars. Spider-Man is going to dominate the month.

Just goes to show seeing President Loki, from a show that ended in July, that Hot Toys can't be logically predicted. Next year SW gets Book of Boba, Kenobi and Andor. SW will get more of the share next year for sure.

Pretty low honestly.

Though would be a relatively easy repaint on their part, but I don't see us getting any ST figures anytime soon.

It'll be the few OT/PT releases sprinkled in-between the new shows, Mando and TCW figures.

Think most of us were thinking the same thing. How we've only gotten 3 announcements since August is really disappointing, especially when all 3 are troopers, and this is coming from someone who loves troopers.

Honestly I mostly just want Cobb Vanth and Fennec, then a whole bunch of OT figures that HT probably won't make. I can't keep ordering HT out the wazoo, I buy other larger scale stuff like statues too. 2021 is going to be stupid expensive for me as it is.
