This post regards to all figures with a dynamic flight stand. I don’t like em, at all. I've accidentally damaged the waist of my beskar Mando and Heavy Infantry Mandalorian. Nothing major but it’s annoying to see the gap the grabber has created. Not sure if it will go back to normal in time or if it’s permanent damage.

For now, I’ve lowered the waist grabber to grip the leg instead. Not as stable as before, but it certainly works. At least I won’t have to worry about a waist grabber eating into the body.

Be wary of the waist grabbers!
Same thing happened with my MMS 200 Superman...took forever to go back to a semblance of normal.

I'd be up for a re-issue of a ROTS Obi Wan, heck I'd be up for an AOTC version as well!
I imagine ROTS versions of Anakin & Obi-Wan have a chance of being re-released through the Kenobi tv-show. It is supposed to feature flashbacks, so who knows if we'll get any ROTS era stuff, or live action TCW era.

Seeing I missed out on Anakin, I'd be up for that.
I missed out on both Anakin & Obi-Wan. I was out of the game during that period, so I missed out on everything in general. I do hope that Kenobi brings us such figures. I'm usually against blatant rereleases, but they're such important characters to the sage, and they go for near 1K in the aftermarket (each), so I think it'd be a nice gesture. Either way, I'm holding out for them. I passed on the General Skywalker figure in case they make one from Kenobi too, to go along with a hypothetical TV Kenobi General Obi-Wan, and he looks different or something. I'm expecting quite a few releases from this show. It's one of the reasons why I'm trying to downsize my wishlists from other properties like NWH; I'm not gonna PO Spider-Man stuff and miss out on key Jedi.

I skipped the General Skywalker as well, because I think he won't fit with the ROTS Obi Wan. Plus his hair looks different than the ROTS release and I don't really like that.

I am really looking forward to see what we will get from NWH, but like you I'm going to have to make decisions on what I end up getting from it. I mainly want to focus on Star Wars. And it would seem we could get an onslaught of SW figures in the (near) future.

I'd buy a General SKywalker only if I had a General Kenobi to pair him with. HT bailed on that, and Kenobi could very well give us canon live action versions of those outfits, so I'm willing to wait.

Pretty much this for me too. Spider-Man's a relic of my childhood, so I want a Tobey-Man, and was planning to get an Ock and a Goblin, but with the way prices are going, the latter two are likely to be in the 400$+ range, and with the onslaught that is 2022, I can't be spending money on anything that's not a genuine, current favourite.

Prices are really getting out of hand yes. I'm not looking forward to seeing what a Goblin figure including glider, masked and unmasked headsculpt and accessories will go for. Not even speaking of Doc Ock with his tentacles. Chances are I will only choose one of those. (In which case it most likely be Goblin).

And ofcourse these prices will continue to creep up for SW as well. I still need a Vader in my collection, but I'm dreading to see what a new version would cost.

Same here. I'll probably keep my Spider-Collection small. A Tobey-Man and a Goblin as representations of my childhood interest. But seeing as I'm not as invested these days, I can't go further than that. Maybe I'll try and snag a 2099 at some point if they make a proper Terry McGinnis Batman so that I'll be able to display them together. But I'm at that point where I can't be spending that much cash on figures that aren't current favourites. I can't spend 2K+ on a Spider-Shelf just for compeltionism reasons (I assume Venom + Ock + Goblin + Tobey-Man + a hypothetical Superior Spider-Man from Insomniac Spider-Man 2 would amount to that) when I have other characters that I still genuinely love. Spider-Man will get one or two figs as a reminder of that time, but I can't spend more.

Same here again. I still need to build my Jedi/Sith collection. I passed on ESB Vader waiting for a ROTJ version, but now I wonder whether to jump on a hypothetical Kenobi/ROTS version, or wait for next year's ROTJ anniversary. Still, point is, these prices are getting out of hand. I can't spend the same money on an absolute favourite like Vader, and a "yeah, that looks cool" type of figure. There has to be thought put into it.

Won't be any SW reveals for awhile, it's going to the full NWH train from now, check that box office record.

Would there be any love for an old Kenner throw back original style Star Destroyer Commander (Death Squad Commander) in original gray outfit? He's the only one we need to complete a 1:6 collection of the original 12.

From collectors? Yes. From Hot Toys? It would appear unlikely as they've sat on the Death Star Trooper for years after previewing it at Comic Con... :(

I passed on the ESB one as well in favor of a ROTJ version. But right now I actually am thinking of getting the next version they make, because the longer it takes, the more expensive it gets. And while I can see the extreme pricehikes and prices stabilizing whenever the world get's it's **** together, they won't go down when people are used to them and HT has seen people willing to shell out money for them.

And I totally agree on putting in more thought into which figure to get. I collected a number of MCU figures purely for completionist sakes instead of actually loving the characters. I won't be doing that anymore. And any figures I bought because of that reason I'll probably sell whenever I need the space.

I was thinking the same thing myself. If a Kenobi/ROTS Vader happens and comes with Hayden's burned-up face, that'll be good enough for me. I skipped on the Emperor too, which hurts, so I'm holding out for both a Prequel Palpatine and a TROS version at some point. But yeah, with the way prices are going, we need to snatch the ones we need fast.

I've only been back for a year or two, so I've carefully bought my figures thus far, but I received my Endgame Thanos the other week, and while an impressive figure and a character I've loved since I was young (original copies of Infinity Gauntlet/War were the first comics I bought off the internet), it still irked me that I spent ~500€ on what is essentially a plastic toy. I had a period where I spent ~80€/month on my comic book pull-list. Now I look back and most of those comics I can't remember buying while they're stuck in cardboard longboxes somewhere. I don't want that to happen with my 1/6th. Everything I buy must be specific and have a reason to be there.
