Every time nothing I want is showcased at a con or some such, a part of me is relieved because my wallet gets to breathe, and another is just tired of seeing nothing that interests me. This is more stressful than it is enjoyable. Why is General Kenobi nowhere to be seen? Are they waiting for General Skywalker to hit scalper prices for them to put him up for PO? I get it, Clones are cheap to produce and they sell. But Christ, throw us a bone.

I don't know, the more time passes, the more relatively useless characters are revealed, the more "deluxe editions" are offered with cardboard bases, the more these look like actual toys and their "high end" nature fades. Every HT used to feel special. Now I feel like I'm literally just buying overpriced toys, not high-end collectibles. At times I think of making the jump to statues and just buying 10-20 ridiculously expensive ones of my absolute favourites, but it's too much of a hassle.

Then again, we are getting Gilgamesh, from The Eternals, so there is always a light in the tunnel!

In regards to General Kenobi, while Hot Toys does deserve certain criticism, I would also criticize Disney's final approval on what's released, when it's released, and what's allowed to be shown at events. It wouldn't be unlike any other collectible company to have to sidetrack their plans to focus on newer products from the licensor.

At least we haven't seen any Mod Squad and Scooters, which is likely what Disney marketing was hoping to push out as the next thing.

I don't know, it's been two years. Had it gone up with Anakin it'd have been released by now and wouldn't clash with the "Kenobi" Kenobi. You've got a point though, so maybe they'll have him up in the next 6 months or whatever. In such a case, why even put Anakin up for PO? People want them as a pair. Now it's either buy him and risk having him all by his lonesome, or skip it until General Kenobi gets put up for PO and by that time he costs half a grand or more.

It's just tiresome.

That Clone commander is a day one PO for me, easy. Absolutely love the phase 1 ranks and their colours. Could only imagine how good a sergeant (green), lieutenant (blue), captain (red), and commander (yellow) would look next to each other in dynamic poses in a display.

Welcome back to the days of real cons where every booth is trying to livestream over the same local convention WiFi service.

Bring back the virtual con. They had so many more advantages imo.

I would love 1 of each color, I have a Sideshow Captain and Lieutenant I upgraded to be Fordo and a Lieutenant from the 2003 Clone Wars. Need to finish the rainbow!
