1/6 NEXT Hot Toys STAR WARS Figure...?

As Joost has pointed out several times, it can take years and be traumatic getting approval from actors so that tracks somewhat with these figs. Hopefully 2025 is the year we finally get Andor figs.

Honest question: why does it seem like most prefer Andor Andor vs RO Andor? I’ve seen it across all 1/6 groups and no one, it seems, wants RO version.

I thought most people wanted the RO look lol? Didn’t someone say we will get that look at the end of season two and hoped that’s the figure they do.

It’s like 5% of people who want a proper RO based Cassian, imo.

I also don’t get why most wouldn’t want that vs a figure that’s based on the hope that he’s wearing the same outfit at the end of S2? It reminds me of when people would ask for a Ahsoka based Anakin (older Hayden likeness) vs a proper Ep III Anakin.

I want the rogue one version. I’ll buy 2, one for his jedha parka and one for his jacket look, because I’m mentally unstable. No interest in the andor show version.

On the anniversary topic, only aotc got a good one. Empire was 2 figures and 2 reissues. Rotj was two epic figures imo, but not what we expected after the stellar aotc anniversary. Phantom menace was a dud except for the Droideka. I’m betting rots is 2.0 and reissues with a bunch of clones.

They got confused with their own Dark Side celebration, which also blew.

Revan, but no Dooku, Malgus etc?.

Each year passes and HT are still as random and clueless as ever.

Their Dark Side celebration was pretty fantastic, say what you want about their TPM anniversary, but between Maul 2.0, ROTS Sideous, Battle Damaged Vader, Savage Oppress, General Grievous, Revan, Starkiller and Malgus, that is a pretty impressive list of figures.

Honestly besides the lackluster TPM, even though Maul looks great and that Droideka is just going to pop on the shelf, I thought it was a pretty solid year for us Star Wars fans, something for everyone I think.

As a selective SW collector, 2024 was the best year of collecting in recent years. All because of Endor Han alone.. a new Han finally happened (still want Bespin Han). Second would be General Grievous, no question. Other notables were ROTS Darth Sidious, ESB Chewie w/ Threepio, and ROTS Jedi. Couldn’t care less for the D+, TCW and Legends stuff

I’ve already prepared for financial ruin this year. Very little I’ll say no to from ROTS.

So since they didn’t do a Qui-Gon 2.0/or Artisan release for the TPM 25th, looks like I’m just gonna go and get the original release. Will probably be my first aftermarket HT purchase this year
