I wasn't surprised they didn't do a second Qui-Gon as I didn't think there was enough time since the first release. Although I will say the aftermarket values are still pretty high last I looked...

I would prefer not to go the v2.0 route. Give me something new and interesting.

I agree, but I bet the ROTS 20th line (for example) will be a combination of 2.0s and Jedi and clones. For new ground up designs, I just hope they make Chancellor Palpatine (both looks) at least. And I’d hope they make ROTS Vader too.

Lol, yeah it could, but damn that wouldn’t make sense. At this point, my PT collection won’t even be complete without Grievous in hand so I’m good with waiting. But if I had the assurance a remake wouldn’t happen, I’d confidently grab him now

If you can grab Qui-Gon for $200-250 I would jump all over that. Even if a V2 happens, it'll be way down the road...

For 2.0s with rolling eyes, I think Anakin (sculpted), Obi-Wan and Yoda are most likely gonna happen.

Personally, I’d like a dedicated Mustafar-based Anakin. Pale skin, dark eye bags, scowl expression, BUT with regular eyes, not Sith eyes. To differentiate it from the other Anakin figures they’ve made so far.

And as much as I’d like to see it and upgrade, I hope Dooku and Mace don’t get 2.0s. Please HT, just do new characters and designs.

I am genuinely confused as to why we didn't get a 2.0 Qui-Gon. I was deep into getting one before I decided to wait for a 2.0. I mean, we got one with Maul. Maybe, maybe, this is a ROTJ Han situation where the rest of the TPM stuff comes after the anniversary year itself.

If it is gonna have moving eyes anyway, swap out eyes for normal and sith eye look could be possible. HT totally could do it. Whether they will is another question, they are more likely to double dip with both a standard version and separate sith eye version but if they wanted to they could 1 figure with interchangeable eyes.

2 sculpts sound easier imo, I'd hate fidgeting with eyes.

But his skin complexion changes and his eyes aren’t strained as they are in the Mustafar scenes, imo.

I have enough trouble moving the individual eyes, let alone swapping them out! Two portraits as a deluxe if they're going to go that route...

For rots anniversary, I think rots Vader is a lock. Easy reuse for hot toys. I could see plenty of exclusives too. Or, we get a few reissues and and a handful of new figures. It will be an absolute assault on our wallets or another rotj anniversary. I’m not sure I can commit to another 10-12 prequel figures. I’m leaning towards being happy with what I have and going OT only. It’s getting ridiculously expensive and I’m out of space. I really only want bespin han and maybe bespin escape leia. I’m good after that.

I’m in the same boat and have thought about doing OT only, but foolishly keep buying everything! I’ve at least stuck to my no Disney rule despite wanting a few of those.
