I thought the same, but after they did an Artisan version of Moon Knight it came out look good even with his shorter hair, so I guess they could do the same with Kenobi.

I’d like a Chancellor Palpatine first, but if they’re doing that they probably wouldn’t reveal it till after the new Darth Sidious gets released.

Idk. I mean I know it’s doable but is there real market demand for that? We’ll see I guess. I’m getting Artisan Anakin so I’m not opposed to an Artisan Obi-Wan. I’d also keep the original versions.

I think they would probably look best paired together as both Artisan versions, but their sculpted game has gotten really good, so I’m sure a sculpted version would look really good too. I wasn’t able to get Anakin through the queue, so my hope is they’re working on a dark side version and maybe I can get that one. I wouldn’t be surprised if the delay with Artisan Anakin is because they’re producing a dark side version at the same time and they plan to do a quick release like they did with the Imposter Joker. We’ll see though. Hopefully it’s not too much longer.

I agree. I do think they’ll end up making sculpted versions/2.0s for both too. Yoda with rolling eyes and updated design is also a safe bet. However, I hope the rest of the line are new character designs we haven’t seen before. I’m sorry, but I hope we don’t get ROTS Dooku or Windu.. they’re the same character designs like in AOTC and I know they can do with new versions, but ugh, don’t waste the slots for this line, Hot Toys.. just my opinion lol..

And on a side note and for discussion purposes, but isn’t the current DXAE Anakin also considered “Dark Side”? When they carried out Operation Knightfall, he doesn’t have yellow Sith eyes for reference.

I understand the Hot Toys naming behind it but I’ve always wondered if people forget that detail from the film.

Yeah you could use this DXAE for both versions of Anakin for sure. I’ve seen some displays with his hood up flanked by two 501st troopers and it’s a sick display.

Also wishful thinking, but it’d be great if hot toys decided to give Artisan Anakin some real leather tabards considering they just did an announcement for Kamen Rider with full leather suits. Especially considering Howard Chan has said Anakin is his favorite figure they’ve done so far.

I’ve thought that too. I usually display my “light side” Anakin as a fallen Anakin/Darth Vader.

I hope they make more versions. Definitely plan on having a few Ep. III Anakins lol

At the moment I am most looking forward to ROTJ Han Solo, only question is do I pick up two and use much of the second to make an improved custom Bespin version over what I have now. Also looking forward to the updated Chewie. Any new variants/updated main rebel heroes I am up for. No longer collect villains/troopers etc which is a big saving.

Undecided on the PT, could abandon the era totally, if however they make Aayla Secura they will keep me!

Seeing the last Captain America retailing at $375, i'm baffled at how fast prices have risen up in the last couple years. At that pace, my days in that game are numbered.

I hope they lay off the 2.0s for Cody, Windu, Dooku, and even Yoda imo. These AOTC branded MMS figures have the same designs in ROTS. But if they end up doing 2.0s for these characters not named Anakin and Obi-Wan, well… it looks like I’d sell off the 1.0s and upgrade.

I just want new character designs.
