I don't care as I sold all my Rogue One figures when they refused to finish the set with Baze... BUT, I'd say it's possible that we've not seen the RO look on Cassian as it'd spoil something at the end of Andor. I hope that folks do get a proper RO Cassian as I thought that was a great movie and I was bored to tears by Andor S1...

You’d need Bodhi too, imo.

And I still care cause that’s the specific look I’d ideally want to pair with my Jyn figure. Which if they were to do a RO Cassian (blue parka or not) I’d probably upgrade it with the 357partment repaint and root job by TeTsu.

And I actually liked Andor Season 1 episode 6 (aside from a few gripes) and the finale, but otherwise, didn’t care for the show as much as others do.

Totally with you there Dennis. I kept my Rogue 1 line because I loved that movie more than even OG Star Wars. Just more grown up for us grown up kids.

Put me in the blue parka camp as well. That with the cool backpack thing he had. It'd all make a great deluxe.

Though the most utilitarian, look is his Jedha/Eadu parka and gear, as it should also contain, his basic Yavin Rebel Captains uniform underneath,
so it would be two complete looks in one. Three actaully if they want to throw in the sniper vest.

And fits best with the R1 crew, ...

The Rogue One makes the most sense to do imo, and it’s such a great look since the figure would essentially be a 3-in-1. Or 4 if you include his very last look where he’s just wearing the shirt. It’d be a fun figure with all the swap outs.

I really don’t get why most collectors don’t care for this look, especially considering there’s already an entire Rogue One line by Hot Toys that it could be a part of.

As well as the backpack, it would also include the unique break away sniper rifle he used.

I'd be happy with this if HT went all out and did all 3 in 1, it really is the most complete "deluxe" look.

Though as other indicate, the last three Eps lead into that scene.
So he may still revisit other R1 looks before that.

Gilroy told Empire that the final three episodes of the season will cover "the last three days before Rogue One," with the finale leading right into the events of the film.

The “debate” has become muddied, it’s been misconstrued af. What was being proposed before is getting a figure that “kills 2 birds with one stone” as in a “Andor S2 finale look which also acts as a Rogue One based version. What Wor-Gar failed to understand is that this wouldn’t be possible considering the outfit he wants (which I also want), the Jedha City blue parka look, wouldn’t be what he’d wear at the end of Andor S2, given the outfit he wears at the very beginning of Rogue One is the other one that I showed. It’s further supported by the exact quote you just shared (thank you for that) where Gilroy explicitly states the final scene will be him boarding the ship that goes to the Ring of Kafrene which again, is where he’s at when we are introduced to the character in Rogue One.

That being said, all I was getting at is that a “hybrid” combo Andor/Rogue One figure isn’t going to work, in order to attain the Rogue One “hero” look (specifically the Jedha City blue parka look), so why even ask for that, a hybrid Andor show/Rogue One Cassian figure that kills 2 birds with one stone? Why entertain that idea? It’s not even possible. Why not instead just ask for a proper Rogue One Cassian figure? One where ideally you’d get the blue parka and the dark blue vest in addition to the tan brown jacket.

No idea why this wasn’t understood and it flew off the rails.

I never ASKED for the RO opening look as a 2 birds, 1 stone figure, I said that it is LIKELY HT will do that look since it kills 2 birds with 1 stone (sort of like is vs ought, I am saying it IS likely, that that it OUGHT to be that look).

I also think the blue parka is the best look.

Even if HT were to do the Andor s2 end/RO opening look, there's nothing stopping them from adding the extra items to get the blue parka look if released as a deluxe. Solo movie Han had the alternate fur coat and goggles look, Jyn had the deluxe etc etc, it can be done, I just HT to the least investment in the figure (mostly barebones) and cover 2 shows/movies with it (ring of Dafnee Kafrene look) as that would be the most coverage for the least investment on what they likely expect to be not a big seller, then they can re-use the head for the test pilot to spread the cost of the head development further while again doing 2 birds 1 stone routine by essentially making an imperial pilot for the army builders who don't care for Andor himself.

Basically, trying to think from a business perspective in my speculation.

I think you guys simply didn’t get the what I meant.

But alas.

I was just pointing out that the end of S2 Andor outfit wouldn’t be the same outfit as the main Rogue One look, which at that point, Idk why even ask for/want that. I’d rather keep it simple and hope Hot Toys makes a Cassian figure that’s based on Rogue One with the Rogue One branding and everything, a MMS release.

If Hot Toys makes a Andor show version from S2, most likely it’ll be the main S2 look (whichever that ends up being). Similar to how if they made him based on S1, it would’ve been the poster look, more likely than not. Idk, but imo, the “Ring of Kafrene” look isn’t as likely than the main S2 look. And yes, while they can always add a whole bunch of add-ons and jacket swap outs, my whole point/argument still stands… at that point, why? Why not just ask for a RO Cassian straight up?

Yeah, and I’m speculating just as much as the rest of y’all.

With the director’s comments, it seems like the “Ring of Kafrene” outfit/jacket will be the last look we see in Andor S2 which wouldn’t work for those (Wor, yourself, me, etc) whom want a regular Rogue One outfit with the blue parka and whatnot, which to my point, I think a lot of us in here want that Rogue One look so why not just ask for that? Why try to find ways to box it into this hypothetical scenario with a hybrid/combo figure that represents both end of S2 and Rogue One? Cough, Ring of Kafrene.

I’d also wager most people whom want a Andor show version would simply want the Andor look since that’s what most people have been clamoring for this whole time over even a Rogue One version.

This is hot toys and we know they love to milk sculpts and always give us the downgrade version first. So if we end up getting a cassian, I guess it would be from the series. Then they can wait a year and hit us for a rogue one specific version. This is technically a slow year for new Star Wars content so they might actually acknowledge season two and redo K2, krennic, and stormtroopers.
The only thing that makes me a little optimistic is that Galen Erso. It’s rogue one branded on the announcement, so may we hope for rogue one cassian or even baze. Or, monkeys might fly out of my butt.

Personally, I would never buy anything from a Disney plus series going forward again, so if it’s not rogue one cassian, I’ll pass.
