Next SSC Iron Man film offering Predictions

I have a feeling the first new item will be announced at SDCC. It'll be late July so the first Flex-Pay payment would have already been taken out....

They said that they are leaving a healthy gap between the "release" of the bust and the next announcement. So if the bust doesn't ship until around September, I was thinking later in the year.

But you think that they will just announce something at SDCC? Will that include a model of it or just an announcement?

I have a feeling that SSC was gauging on what products to do with the popularity of the film especially after the Spider-Man 3 issue bit them hard. So with the film being a bonafide blockbuster they feel more confident to continue merchandising. I think they'll be more than one thing, I think we'll get an SDCC announcement, possibly a prototype and teasing of a PreOrder but nothing actually ordered until Septemberish meaning that it'll be after the actual bust release.

Yeah ok, that's kinda where I was heading with my post. Yeah, I guess if we get a PO in the Septemberish time frame, then it will more than likely be a late Q1 / early Q2 2009 ship date. Thank god! My wallet needs a break and I want to get a car without a loan.

I guess I'm only going with big money stuff after the Hot Toys TDK, IM and Hulk stuff. Not much room for the 1/6 stuff anyways and I need buy up the older Marvel PFs.

But I'm thinking they'll do an Iron Monger archive set to complete what they already have...

Iron Monger Archive Set is a given I think and I wouldn't be shocked if they went LSB with these too but I do think a Comiquette/PF is in the works as well....

Comiquette/PF would be great, I really don't want to pay 1200 bucks for a IM comiquette.

Please no more LSBs!!! WTF is up with those things? I hate them so much, especially after they ruined my very favorite marvel villian!! I guess some have been ok, but I would much rather have really really nice 1:1 stuff. Just save up!

Agreed but the fact of the matter is that they sell so I see SSC going back to that well over and over again.

I cancelled the bust a while back figuring I'd take the chance to try and pick one up later if the Iron Man products SS has in the pipeline near term don't outdo the bust.
