Does Sideshow still make Star Wars figures or just tease them at Conventions? Seems like more than a year since I've had one delivered.

Edition size has become Sideshow's red-headed stepchild. Fun to backhand, but only worthy of neglect otherwise.

Truth is, I think SS is happily satisfied with HT 'distribution' fees and minimizing their own development to cut costs. They must be very profitable.
Do we have any solid info on a Jango figure?

No solid info on anything except Grievous in 2015.
I don't see anyone mentioned R2, 3PO, or Chewbacca in these wishlists. Is this because the omission is so glaringly evident that it would be stating the obvious? Or have SS stated somewhere along the way that these are off the table and we should just repurchase the Hasbro versions that we sold in anticipation of the SS versions?

It's not that they're off the table just that SSC hasn't done them. They gave C-3PO to Bandai and the silence around Chewie is deafening yet they'll go to the efforts of making Malgus in three different formats, go figure.......

Plus folks are still hoping Bandai does their R2 that's been teased over and over. Poor Chewie is just a casualty of technology, or lack thereof. Maybe they can just 3D print a chewie 1/6th scale figure!

Unfortunately, Bandai reps have "unofficially" said that R2 is on hold til they can release it on their own and not in partnership with Sideshow. So who knows how long that will take.

We will see the droids eventualy.
They partnered with bandai to do a chokogin 3P0. We will probobly see an actual sideshow one eventually. likely a mix of metal and plastic.
Eventual Chewie too.
Though out of the three, I anticipate an R2 before all others.

Yeah, you'd think R2 would be relatively easy, since there aren't many working parts to him. They have already built one with the PF, so it's really just a matter of shrinking him down and maybe adding a couple more accessory tools to him.

I still find it so strange that Ssc haven't released astromechs given there are so many variants possible and surely the engineering isn't that difficult ?

The Fur is the hold up with Chewie. oOnce the figure it out and make a decision, we will see one.
