I'm glad we can't. You never know who is going to get a season ending injury, which contender will be a bust, and which bust will end up contending.

I meant with the caveat that you can always change it leading up to that week if you wanted to. If someone goes on vacation they are screwed.

That's stupid. The Chiefs finished off their season after drinking a big glass of suck, and they did next to nothing in free agency. The Bills actually finished fairly strong but were let down by their D a few times, and I think they made some pretty decent free agency moves to tighten that D up.

But this does not mean I'm picking the Bills Week 1. I actually have yet to look at the schedule for Week 1

Here's how it works.

Week 1 you pick 1 team to win their Week 1 game.
If your team wins, you move on to Week 2 but cannot pick that team again. Rinse and repeat each week. As you progress, the teams you can pick each week decreases. You can only use a team once.

If the team you pick loses or ties, you're eliminated. If you fail to make a pick you're eliminated.

The pot goes to the last man standing. If, like last year, the final group all get eliminated in the same week, the pot is split evenly among those teams.

Now if there are multiple people still alive when the playoffs start, all NFL teams are reset and you can pick any of the playoff teams. In the playoffs you can only use a team once. So if you use the Super Bowl winner during the Wild Card weekend you might be in trouble.
