Those are BS. They pick two from the Tampa Bay Super Bowl and neither one is this one... Whoever picked those is DUMB. :)

I'm a fan of Ray Lewis as a player. A huge fan.

But damn this week has been tough on my admiration for him (as a player). Not only is there the generic hoopla about this being his last game, but all the crying, the SNL skit, the reemergence of the murder case, the illegal substance report, and now he's telling us that he's going out this way so that all the fans can "celebrate" him more?

Not to mention Ed Reed is already saying he can see himself playing for the Patriots after this season? And Joe Flacco's response to next season's outdoors Super Bowl is...wait for it...."retarded"?

Okay, please lose Baltimore. (As a huge fan of Ray Rice, I just want the team to shut the hell up.)

Why though? Football's a fall sport. They used to play super bowls outside whether it snowed or whatever. I think it would be cool.

Can't really argue with Flacco since it is true lol.

I'm a huge fan of throwing a Super Bowl in rough weather. That would be awesome not retarded. They play each game throughout the season in unpredictable weather. Why not the big game?

But the Super Bowl is in the winter. And they have never played a Super Bowl in the snow.

I don't think a team should be punished for where they are from. If a warm weather team plays at least half its games in that environment, they shouldn't have their success punished by having them play in an environment that could benefit the other team, solely due to locale. In the playoffs is fine - if a team like Green Bay earned a home field advantage, and they can play better in 5 degree snowing weather, that's fair.

But I want the SB played on an even playing field.

But I don't see how that's really more fair. You have these teams that are used to playing in the domes on that turf and feel right at home at most of these super bowls like the Saints or the old Rams teams. Personally, I feel like if you can justify a team losing partially due to the weather in the first three rounds of the playoffs then it shouldn't change the way you think about the Super Bowl. And it isn't like it'll snow every time they have a SB in a "cold" weather place, it would probably still be rare. If a team would lose because they have to play in real grass in 50 degree weather than that's a shame on them. It's the way the sport is meant to be played imo.

The playoff advantage makes sense, because for the most part, the advantage was earned over other teams in their conference. That doesn't hold true very well once both conferences meet.

Also, the dome thing got brought up because of Flacco's comments. I personally don't like domes, but obviously it's a good choice for certain environments. My ideal location is a warm weather stadium without a dome.

The SB should be shared equally around all the teams in the league. If your city is good enough for an NFL team you are good enough to have the championship. Weather can be a pain in the *** anywhere at any time. You need to live with the risk.

As for whining about how it favors teams one way or the other, that's bull****. The champion should know how to play in anything without excuse.

Some wings and Nachos here most likely. Hopefully it settles well cause I'll be as nervous as a lady of the evening in church for 3 hours. :lol

Can you imagine if the super bowl was held in Green Bay!? It would be miserable. NY is getting the SB cause it's NY and they get special treatment. Would it be fun to watch a bad weather SB....sure.....from my couch that is.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be grilling carne asada outside. Spanish rice with some tortilla chips.

I'll be picking up this fire-roasted, homemade salsa from a friend on Saturday and I can't wait to try it.
