Well we went from 1-15 to 11-5 the first year Parcells was around. Still not the head coach though.

So.....

Still to early to tell though :dunno

Im a Fins fan to, but I knew this would happen. They benefitted from an easy schedule last year, and this year they will be lucky to be 6-10. They should have traded for Vick or Garcia today instead of Pigpen

All three current Dolphins QB's have buzz cuts. Everyone knows you have to have nice hair to be a good QB. :duh

*cough* *cough*

Jimmy Johnson + Dave Wannstedt + Nick Saban + Cam Cameron = Epic Fail. :sick

Dave Wannstedt was the best of the worst imo.

Jimmy was ok the first two years. He wanted to retire after year two and Wayne talked him into staying another year. That was a mistake. If you're thinking about retiring, you're already retired.

Dave Wannstedt drafted Eddie Moore over Anquan Boldin who was the highest rated player on their board when their pick came up. This equals an epic fail!

A buddy of mine used to hate Dave Wannstedt with a passion. My friend was a dolphins fan (and a Marino fan) and hated his decisions, his voice, and his "stupid face," as I recall. I personally hated Mike Martz the most of all coaches at the same time, so we would always pick the other's most hated coach and play against each other in Madden.

Wannstedt's defense against Martz's offense. And the best parts of the game were the coach cut-aways of these horrible looking people walking on the sideline or just staring at the field, each looking so retarded.

I miss those days :(

Here's something that may cheer you up: remember the last time an unheralded Michigan QB came off the bench to start due to an injury to the starting QB. Or see: Tom Brady.:monkey5

Next year's Mirriam-Webster On-line Dictionary will have this quote printed as an example under the definition of the word...optimism.

And, in an ironic twist, another editor will allow it to be printed as an example of an idea believed by people who fall under the definition of...slaphappy.

Cruel given the way your beloved has been playing what are your thoughts on the Steelers Chargers game next week?

Chargers' defense has been playing about as well as the "D's they have lost to. Same can be said for their offense. And I think all three games have been competitive. So it looks like a pretty evenly matched game. I like to be a realist, so it could be said that based on the performances from weeks 1-3, that it does not look good for them.

But I sill think that the Steelers are as talented as any team in the league and they are not known for long slumps. They RARELY lose three in a row. And they are at home. I am giving it to the Steelers...barely.

Edit - I just checked the line. Steelers are a 6.5 point favorite with a 43 O/U.

Seems to me that whenever they are given 7 points or more, they never cover the spread. So I think a 3 point Steeler win is not too far a reach into the "wishful thinking" bag.

I think the Chargers/Steelers game is evenly matched. I'm going with my Chargers for the win.

Hey DC...what't the status on Polamalu?

Week-to-week. Nobody saying he'll be back this week yet.

Originally they said he wouldn't be back until week 8 (after the bye). But they have decided that the injury isn't very bad, so they changed it to week-to-week.

Oh...one more thing...it is a prime time game...nationally televised. They don't habitually lose those games either.

I have been fantasizing about Troy Polamalu's return. And then I remembered that I said he wasn't THAT critical to the defense.

I stand by that belief, damnit!

But sometimes I have to remind myself.

Currently, there are 5 days out of the week that suck...dramatically.

Then there are 2 that don't suck.

I wish those 2 would get here. I want to have a reality-controlling remote like on "Click" so that I can FF through Teus-Saturday until Thursday and Saturday Football start.
