Looks to be a backwards pass. However, it's Manning, so I'll be interested to see what they do. I predict that we'll get a "not enough to overturn" even though it seems pretty clear.

Different circumstance. The TD was reviewed and incorrectly upheld, which is pretty much par for referees this season.

This would be similar to what happened on a Gronkowski TD back in 2011. During the game it was called a receiving TD, but later reviewed and changed to a rush TD because of a backward pass.

Good for Manning. I just read the article on ESPN about them upholding it and made the mistake of reading the comments section. What cesspool of trolling.

I do wonder if we'll be seeing these records broken again in the near future. With the emphasis on offense I wouldn't be shocked to see both go down again in the next 5 years.

I'm not sure what offensive records mean anymore, seeing as how they are constantly being re-broken as the rules just keep making the environment more conducive. Obviously, I would prefer Brees to hold a title or two, but I know that they don't really indicate that a player was better than all the QBs who came beforehand or whatever.

Putting all that aside though, Manning clearly is the best regular season QB in modern times, so it's fitting that he would hold all those records. But just my opinion, I think he needs another Superbowl ring for the "regular season" condition to go away.

Cutler's record puts him on par with what I would expect from a game manager QB like former Bear Kyle Orton. So, if the best I could get right now was Cutler, I would get someone like that who would cost a fraction of that amount. Based on comments here, some obviously feel that despite his many years of underachievement, Cutler never had a fair shot. I guess the Bears feel the same, but I can only believe what I see.

There's probably no FA Qbs out there today, but this is a decent QB draft. They have the 14th pick. You can get a pretty decent QB for the future there and use the cash you save for a some o-line.

With the way the NFL pay system works, I suppose you can still draft your QB and cut ol pouty face in 2015. I don't know. Seems like a waste to me.

I have a hard time believing the market bears out that price. Who else would be willing to pay him that much that the Bears did? Maybe the free agency market is really that bad, but his stats have been very average in Chicago, despite his obvious athletic skills that shine through from time to time.

The Rams are about done with Bradford. And I'm sure with Lovie coming to Tampa Bay, Cutler would have been on their radar.
