I'm shocked Aikman finally acknowledged the hold on Rodgers escape. I don't remember one that egregious since.....that game. Bad memories.:monkey4

I kinda want to see Green Bay win just because I can't stand the Niners' coach, but I'm not thrilled with the prospects of either of these teams moving forward in the playoffs.

I can't stand both teams. Either way, one is done today and hopefully the Panthers can knock out whichever team survives today.

Carolina will beat SF like a drum. They just beat one of the worst defenses in the NFL by 3.. no way can they take Carolina out.

I get the impression the refs just want the game to end as fast as possible and were not going to throw flags to slow the game down at all.

Should have won by more but I'll take it. As long as it's not -99 next week I think we can get it done.

I guess that's why they play the game.

Man, Wade Phillips was let go by the Texans. Bears should let Tucker go and sign Wade to be their new D coordinator. Start drafting and signing free agents to fit a new 3-4 scheme under Wade. They can't possibly be any worse on D than they were this year.

I'm more than OK with that. Since I hate both the Packer and 9ners, I didn't even watch the game. You better believe I'll be watching next week and cheering on Carolina to win.

2 games this weekend with the same ending sequence. How many times does this need to happen before coaches realize that losing like this is not necessary. Give your guys a chance to win the game. The play is to let them score from the 20-30 yard line. Of course, once they get down to inside a minute, and inside the 20, they won't go all the way for the TD, so you have to do it sooner. If it's clear as day that you can't stop their offense from getting the last 10 yards or so to make it a chip shot, LET THEM SCORE. Drives me ****ing insane.

Agreed ....
It was like watching a Re-run. :thud:

What do you then when the offensive player with the ball decides to stop and sit at the 1 yard line, letting the time burn down?

I grew up a niner fan and was cheering for the Alex Smith led niners, but I can't stand Kaepernick. He seems like a d bag that tries way too hard to be cool. Lots of mixed emotions with this win.

In that case you'd be cooked, but you're giving football players too much credit to think like that on the fly. They're pretty hard wired to get to the EZ.

One of the few things I can chuckle about in regards to SB46 was what ended up the game winning TD. The Patriots wanted Ahmad Bradshaw to score and he to his credit realized this, but a bit too late and kind of tumbled backwards into the EZ.

I don't know what happens if you let them run score and they just sit down before they score.

Opps already said.
