Hey at least NO fans showed their class after the victory. :D

(CNN) -- Three people were shot amid celebrations surrounding the New Orleans Saints' Super Bowl win, police said Monday.

The shootings occurred at about midnight, at the intersection of Iberville and Bourbon streets, in the Crescent City's French Quarter, authorities said in a statement.

that was prolly inevitable..........theres always a couple of losers in each city that make the entire city look bad with incidents like this.

Beyond that, though, violence in N.O. isn't a strange thing post-Katrina. Certain parts of the city have only gotten worse and worse since then, and unfortunately, something like a shooting during a Saints celebration doesn't shock me. So, is it the Saints fans who are doing that? Maybe. But New Orleans fans have not established a history of classless and at times, down-right thuggish behavior over the years and across various sports as we have seen. . .elsewhere. The worst any significant chunk of this fan base could be accused of is reveling in our collective misery--wearing bags over heads, etc. And admittedly, I have been a part of that group. I still am having difficulties accepting what happened on Sunday.

well, you can only hope the team sticks together & not get traded off

Well, nearly half the team is going to be either a restricted or unrestricted free agent (if next year is an uncapped year, my understanding is that all free agents will be unrestricted), and I'm not sure how many guys they could keep even if we wanted to, but. . .they need to make some major improvements on defense if the Saints want to have another serious shot, IMO. And we need help everywhere--linemen, linebackers, safeties, and corners.

The offense needs to keep that O-line together as best it can, and the most important piece of the equation--Brees--is gonna be here. It would be nice to keep Pierre Thomas, but I think the O-line is the real key. If they can open up holes for the running back to get 5-7 yard rushes consistently, even he wouldn't be essential.

Reggie Bush has to go. Too much money for too few dividends. We could pay for 3 or 4 half-way decent defenders with his salary. Frankly, I think you could take any 3 starting wide receivers in the league up there with Brees, and he can make them look amazing. So, I'm not sure how much that matters, but if we could keep Colston and Henderson, I think we'll be in good shape.

That just makes me think of philly. :lol
Yep, typical Philly fan reaction LOL

I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the running backs gone. just like when the chargers had turner

We gotta a bunch....but they might be all gone....I can check tomorrow! What size are u??

Usually an XL unless it's "Sideshow XL" then I'm an XXL. :lol

Hats, Tshirts, Stickers, whatever is cool with me. :D

Got me thinking about the Saints schedule. Googled it, and got this response from some ticket selling website:

"The New Orleans Saints hit the court this season eager to win. Get your nfl tickets to see the New Orleans Saints organization play Football in Louisiana Superdome. Get you New Orleans Saints tickets today and get ready to make some noise with the best New Orleans Saints fans in New Orleans."

Hard not to just buy everything that site is selling. :lol

SAINTS ARE HITTING THE COURT, EAGER TO WIN! THE BEST NEW ORLEANS SAINTS FANS IN NEW ORLEANS!

Anyone who does not know Payton Manning's reputation by now...should. I don't think it was hate on Brees or the Saints. But Manning was throwing a tantrum for losing the game. But it was more likely to be on himself and his team as opposed to being on Brees and the Saints.

Actually, the Superbowl win could be given credit for calming the Big Easy. Usually there are 11 or 12 shootings in an evening.

Drew Brees is the man! :rock

After the parade, Drew Brees shares a moment with fansBy MJD

Aside from my own favorite teams, I don't think it's possible for me to have gotten any more enjoyment out of anyone else's Super Bowl victory. I'm completely neutral on the Saints, and yet all these things keep popping up that are so unbelievably cool. Like this, for example.

After the big parade last night, Drew Brees(notes) decided to drop into Lucy's, a local bar, and lead the fans in his famously mysterious pre-game chant. As it turns out, there's not much to the chant, but this moment, for the fans who got to be there in person? I can't even imagine a cooler experience for a fan

That's absolutely magical. If nothing else, congratulations, New Orleans, on having Drew Brees as a resident.
