Well said, and who knows if the Saints got the running game going, meaning if Thomas didn't get injured, who knows how the game could've went despite the early turnovers.

That's true guyver1. The running game was expected to be a bigger factor than it was. I thought Pierre Thomas would help a lot, but left the game after that big hit. Sproles was used more in the passing game than the running game. Chris Ivory couldn't break through the defensive line like we wanted and needed. The five turnovers really hurt the Saints. They got it close, but that final drive by the 49ers put the nail in the coffin with the last pass to Vernon Davis for the TD.

The Saints will be back in the playoff race next season. I have faith that they will strive to make the improvements they need to on both sides of the ball.

I hope they keep Williams Jedi, he's still a hell of a DC, they just need to get some good defensive draft picks. Now because they got so far, they probably will end up missing some of the key defensive drafts and have to settle for the leftovers, but maybe some teams will trade with them. Or how about some of the free agents in the pros, There's gotta be some defensive free agents out there that want to get the hell out of their teams like Miami, St. Louis, Cleveland and Jacksonville.

But watch out Saints! , the NFC south could be the year of SuperCam! next season! because the Panthers can get some really good defensive draft picks , Panthers should also get some free agent receivers to help Steve Smith. :)

Saints will be back as long as Brees, Sproles, Graham and course we can't forget Sean Payton are still there. :wink1:

Glad the Saints lost. Now if the Pack would lose it would be an all around great weekend. (Even though a Packers 49ers game in GB would be epic.)

Yeah, I'd be suprised if Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams actually returns. I think he's hearing the call of Jeff Fisher to help him up in St. Louis with the Rams. Yeah, some new blood in our defense would be an upgrade. I hope the Saints can score some defensive players in the draft. Brees (contract talks will resume soon), Graham and Sproles, should be back. As will most, if not all of the rest of the offense. There's been no talk about any of them leaving.

Yeah the Saints will have to watch out for....ummm....Supercam. His star is on the rise in Carolina.

Call me crazy, but if it's the Giants facing the Niners next week, The Niners could make it to the SB, since the Giants have to play in San Fran! :dunno

Can you imagine a Niners vs Pats SB! :lol

Wow if Payton loses Williams, I would make a call to Del Rio or Spags, despite their coaching, these guys know about defenses. :lecture

I still think Del Rio's problem was he invested too much time in David G. as a QB, instead of getting some quality QB backups during David G's injuries.

Now wouldn't that be awesome if our Saints went to Super Bowl XLVII in the Superdome in New Orleans next year? They CAN do it! Geaux Saints!

But I thought you said the Saints "will do this and will do that" this year? LMAO! :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

So does that mean you'll be back next season to cheerlead your team? :lol

You seem to know a little something about every NFL team. Like I said before you're making it up as you go along.

PLAYOFF FINAL
New Orleans....32
San Francisco..36

1. Four lead changes in the last 3:53 of the game. Incredible!

2. Who would have thought that Alex Smith would make more big plays than Drew Brees down the stretch to win this game.

3. Good for Alex Smith. The guy has taken lots of crap along with being labeled a #1 draft pick bust. I wish him well.

Absolutely worked. The magic show is over. :lol

Time to work on that defense in the draft, Denver. I still think Tebow is a good enough player to work around, but you need a defense that would force the other team to punt at least once in a while. I've been harping on how bad the Denver d on third downs is for the past 2 months. Really atrocious.

On other note, Brady is the man. 2nd best QB ever behind Montana. Manning is nothing to Brady.

Oh and I am glad I caught the end of the Niners/Saints game. That was awesome.

denver needs a QB & a reciever

denver needs a QB & a reciever

You do understand that their defense gave up 7 TDs...how will a QB and receiver help there?

They need defense. They actually need a lot of things, because the team itself was not that good. IMO it was the momentum of Tebow phenomena that carried that team. The individual parts are not that great.

I would draft:

Safety
Cornerback
Running back
Receiver
Pass rusher
linebacker

:lecture So many asshats jumping all over Tebow because he can't win every game, and they seem to forget that there's other guys on the Denver's defense that didn't do ____ yesterday.

When you get all the credit for the win your have to take all the blame for a loss especially when you play that bad.
