I saw on CNN that a dolphin (the mammal, not the Miami variety) picked the Pats and Giants. Makes me feel better.

Rex Ryan picked the Ravens and we all know how great he is at predicting things.:lol

I wouldn't be shocked if the Ravens lose. NE is a solid team and if they get any kind of effort from that D they can win.

I actually think this might be a blowout going the Patriots way.

The real game of the day for me is the 49ers/Giants matchup. I have no horse in the race but damn have I been anticipating this game all week. :yess:

:lecture I have to admit I'm really rooting for Alex Smith. That guy has been beaten down for so long.

I think like the Niners did last week to Brees if you hit him in the mouth enough good things happen for you.
I think it was more the coverage than the pressure that was effective against the Saints passing attack. That was the thing that surprised me most about the 49ers because the numbers were all about their effectiveness at stopping the run, and suggested teams might have success passing. But right when that game started, their secondary were playing their asses off. I've seen every Saints game this year, and there weren't many times Brees had plenty of time on plays and couldn't find open receivers. That happened several times against the Niners. There was a bit of pressure as well, of course, but more of that seemed to come later in the game.

Obviously, the game I care about the most is the Niners game. Its one of those games that could go either way. If we let Eli get into any kind of a good rhythm at all it could be problems. We were able to keep Brees from doing that and it worked, and if it works against one of the top 2-3 qbs it will work against Eli.

I admit I'm nervous about the game but I do like our chances. If we win that's amazing but if we lose I can't be down much. We've been beaten down from where we were for so long that its nice to see daylight.

The coverage was fantastic but the pressure was there. I think it did as I said hit him in the mouth enough to do its job. In the end the combo of the two did its job on top of some nice work on offense that pulled the game out. I was glad to win and move on.

for those who dont know this is Tom BRadys new home, for those that dont know please appreciate this is the life you can only wish but never will have

So he got a nice house and Leonardo DiCaprio's sloppy seconds. Big deal. The only thing I envy about any pro athlete is they get paid to do what they love. I hate my job :monkey4

And Rex Ryan only picked the Ravens because he thought he was their defensive coordinator before going to the Jets, but we all know Ray Lewis has been that teams DC for the past decade.

Heck, the Ravens would probably be a better defense if they'd force Lewis to retire and make him the official DC, and put a ILB in there who doesn't need a walker to get around.
